Hardcore Mel
in newcastle, when brian insulted all the geordies by calling them scots without the brains or something along those lines. or the ep launches.
Jimmy Lucifer
The first gig I ever played with Deadloss was probably my favourite. I think it was some AUBL night at Lava Christmas two years ago. So much fun. That and the whole Exile EP launch shenanigans. It should be illegal to have that much fun in one night. fee
Mine and Linsay's birthday in the old drakes! seeing pogo in that dress was something else. i'd like to forget it in a hurry but it's engraved in my brain.
Jim Stax
that's be the only thing engraved there... personally, i'd say the gig where bri (obviously feeling brave considering his employers) stood on the drakes kit, and then james snapped it in half by jumping through it and knocking the drummer out.how i laughed. we hung brian and james from hooks in the cage through in the storeroom. for four days. fun, fun, fun.i also rather enjoyed the acoustic gig at the lemon tree with electric eel shock. they didn't break anything, which was a pleasant change. Jimmy Lucifer
I was hoping you weren't going to mention that Jim... I felt soooooo bad abut that considering how nice Drakes has been to me over the years. But no one can stand in the way of the rock! Unless you threaten to hit me. Then I'll behave. The Ghost Of Fudge
james, you pussy! i reakon you could take jim out of the game if you had your bass as a weapon.i liked the exile gig, but the first time we played the halt in glasgow was good too. and the acoustic gig. and the dungeon gig where the frail bassist knocked himself out on his instrument.the gig where there was that fight onstage in triple kirks and nick jumped over the drumkit to attack the violent stage invader was a classic moment.but probably exile was my favourite. Hardcore Mel
oh yeah, the drunken gig with the dresses was beautiful. my friend brad from LA was in aberdeen for one night and we stumbled into drakes in the hope of something good being on and boy did we get it. he left aberdeen a happy man.
