Your year(too early maybe)

Good things about 2004:

- Started the year getting to know a young man, and we're still together. One day he didn't bother going home and now he lives with me. Seeing him find a rewarding job has made me happy too.

- Passed second year of uni and won a prize for being so academical.

- Said prize and merit bursary keeping me in the black almost all year.

- Went to Canada for two weeks and did all kinds of stuff that I never thought I'd get to do.

- Lots of great nights out with people that enjoy the same places I do for once.

- I made lots of friends through uni and my boyfriend.

- A few good gigs, some not so good.

- Speculative applying to seemingly groovy employers got me a great student job and an improved social life.

- I left my horrible horrible job selling ties and pashminas to Aberdeen's "elite"

Not so good things:

- Had to endure said tie selling job for seven months of the year.

- Having conjunctivitis over New Year and being away from everyone that I wanted to be with.

- Spent more than I should have.

- Haven't seen my parents as often as I'd like.

This has been my best year so far.

- left my final year of uni in january with over 3500 of immediate debt and 17,000 in studenty loans (best thing i ever did)

- got to play at the fudge awards, had a mini tour of scotland that went very very wrong

- landed a job working 82 hours a week night shifts and day shifts (got paid a fortune)

- went out with a complete selfish bitch for a while, finished mid summer

- cames second in the kipford centenary sailing reggatta

- seen an incredible amount of great bands

- made some awesome friends and drinking buds

- wrapped up a band and jammed with various people

- got a job as a business development manager near stirling (became a cunt)

- got a car

- moved to glasgow, moved into a really nice house

- joined GOFONES having been their on/off guitar tech for a few years, played drums on the new album and joined as a full time member of the band. London was fucking ace!!

- seen an incredible amount of ace bands in glasgow

- laeto released that 2nd album i was waiting ages for

- got a new band on the go in glasgow

- got audio dropouts running down here and have ran a few very succesful nights

- drinking waaay too much, doing very stupid things while drunk, waking up in some very strange places

-bought a whole new guitar rig, then bought a new telecaster

-recording again yesterday, went to see part chimp

- made a pact to stay great friends with my chums in aberdeen

- put on a fair bit of weight (dont actually care though)

- seen dirtbox, the diuretics, klatb, tokyo dragons and various other awful bands

a biiig year for me, apparently the one where i start the rest of my life-hmmm

had a pretty drunken new year

had a pretty boring birthday due to exams starting the day after

passed all of my first year exams despite having done minimal study so was in complete shock

went to see a few decent gigs(my chemical romance(twice ),the haunted,FFAF,onelinedrawing,the pixies,the bled)

enjoyed an extremely drunken night out with taking back sunday

got drunk with some friends one night and ended up forming one winged angel

played first owa gig,screwed up and so played another one and it went ace

lost three drummers

got bored of my mediocre supermarket job

quit said job and got a new awesome one in halfords

wrote a lot of music

joined leave it to egon

drank an insane amount of absinthe at t in the park

marvelled at the length of university summers

attended some crazy parties

started second year of degree and ended up doing soil science AND genetics in one semester

passed my driving test

crashed my car(not my fault)

got a new car

had lots of good times with friends

got drunk a hell of a lot

this year erm cant remeber everythings thats happened this year but i shall try and go over bits as much as i can

-new year..spent it at a mates house..got rather drunk and proceeded to wander around in my purple pvc trousers like an 80s cock rock band member

-got a couple girlfriends..finished with each of em after 2 months

-left my fulltime job to come to aberdeen college

-moved into aberdeen

-formed leave it to egon with mouk then proceeded to fill up the remaining member slots over the course of a few months...going through several guitarists on the way

-been drunk LOTs

-was in first fight

-got beaten up in said fight

-got new piercings

-seen some awesome bands

-seen some shite bands

-made lots of new friends

think thats about it at the moment...although im hateing my college course but once i finish with that next year i get to go to a course i really wanna do

Erm...

My year has been... interesting.

- Locked away working and paying off money to my parents, my social list consisted of practising with my band once a week and occasionally seeing my best friend, or the odd venture to Moshulu/a gig.

- Played my first gig.

- Played second gig in Glasgow QMU... was super scary.

- Went to america for the very first time, had the best week of my life, met some of my idols and erm... had fun with the photographer.

- Got kicked out my parents house and was thankfully rescued by my friend Mark

- Lived one wild life for a couple of months... sheer madness... I was like a dog out of a cage.... drank far too much wine... did some very shameful things, loved every second of it. Too many stories to tell.

- Calmed down a bit and bit a particularly fetching gentleman on the arm

- Was corned by the particularly fetching gentleman's best friend at a later date... ordering me to contact the fetching gentleman... I did and he is now my boyfriend. Shucks.

-Saw Sonic Youth, ooooh it was good.

-Went into a wild spiral of depression... very bad.... very bad indeed. Almost lost some friends and erm... it was just bad.

-Crawled out of hole of depression... on the road to recovery... woo.

- Started using the word "yo" too much.

-Looking forward to a new year.
