Little Green
anyone know any good rock (ish?) instrumentals out there? if there is a band maybe specialises in that area?i'm loving some a7x instrumentals (hail to the king, second heartbeat & holy confessions) thing is as much as i love the instrumentals i really dont enjoy the same songs with lyrics - i just dont like the way they sing (sorry fans!) looking for more instrumentals of a similar genre i could get into.Recommendations appreciated
ca_gere
I have no idea what a7x means but if you're after good instrumental music that could potentially fall somewhere under the genre of 'rock' then try The Samuel Jackson Five.
Soda Jerk
The Fucking Champs are my favourite instrumental band. Their stuff is pretty hard to find, and their best albums (IV, V and VI) aren't on Spotify. There's no guitar harmonies left in music, because The Fucking Champs used them all! Give that opening track a whirl. If you don't like it, you probably don't like The Champs. Edited December 27, 2013 by Joda Serk
fatboy
scale the summit, however the melodies may sound odd as they tend to appeal to musicians rather than a casual listener, amazing all the same cky, people dismiss them from being related/exposed via jackass/bam margera. however if you just take the time to listen to them you discover they are a very unique band with some tasty fresh hooks that still sound great, not an instrumental band tho http://youtu.be/K003TNG40P8

fatboy
I love coheed and cambria, even the gay singing. Cladio sanchez is an epic songwriter and underrated guitarist MAstodon yum I used to hate screaming and shouting as vocals year ago, but if you change the way you think of the vocalist role in the band, screaming.growling, guteral is like the vocalist instrument, it adds a different dynamic to the song. {EDIT}also the above mastodon vid shows how they can write an amazing chorus hook that anyone would remember Edited December 27, 2013 by fatboy

fatboy
I love in flames however is sound like an elitist saying I prefer their earlier stuff, even more so now the original founder of the band/guitarist/song writer had left a while ago

Monster Zero
loving this alos this: but i'd say more second one is more punk vibe as opposed to rock i'm not sure how accurate my musical labels are thoughI believe they generally fall into the 'stoner rock' category. I appear to like a lot of this genre, despite never being a stoner.
