Panda Strong
i seriously couldn't care less about what apparent learned columnists say about records.
Soda Jerk
go listen to Hidden in full a few times. I suppose Ipod people about these parts must be right & the vast majority of the polls & many six music dj's must be wrong....Daft. Who'd have thought people liked different music, eh? Music I don't like, I find boring, because I don't like it. Remarkable break through. The opinions of other people mean nothing in that stance, otherwise it can be argued that whatever this years Christmas number one will be (probably X Factor guff) is the best song on the planet because so many people bought it. Which would be ludicrous, because it's already nailed on to be shit.

I don't believe anyone when they say that their own taste or opinions are free from the influence of other people's opinion. Morley gets on my tits sometimes, but I think the opinions of "learned" music critics are frequently enlightening and music needs picked apart to a degree. Paranoid Android
EARL came out in 2008...Are you sure? I think it was this year.
Edgar Graham
Here's a track that's actually from the album Lasted considerably longer than 34 seconds, but still not for me.experimentalism-for-experimentalism's sake.Is exactly what it feels like. I think that's why chilli likes it as well.
Guest
Are you sure? I think it was this year.I thought it came out either in 2008 or 2009. It came out not long after Tyler, The Creators lp and the Odd Future mixtape. Earl is now about 18 (I think) and he raps about being a 16 year old in it.Not that I had any idea who they were in 2008, I've only become a fan this year through Tam O'Shantie, via Giles Walker. Could be totally wrong but I was sure it was older than 2010...Doesn't really matter though. Good album.

Larsen B
Is exactly what it feels like. I think that's why chilli likes it as well.No it ain't because I am pretty much incapable of liking music which is experimental for the sake of being experimental and love this album, therefore it ain't. It's scientific now.

KarmaTsunami
I've been listening to a lot of albums from 2010 over the last couple of weeks by trawling end of year lists and checking out anything that sounds interesting. Thanks Spotify! Aloe Blacc's 'Good Things' is now one of my favourites. Holy shit, I sat on the bus to work listening to this beautiful album and for the first time in a long time I teared up at a song called 'Mama Hold My Hand'. I don't know if I can do the album justice by talking about it here. Definitely a suprise of the year for me. KarmaTsunami
I tried the These New Puritans album. It definitely didn't make me go 'eurgh' like that youtube video did, but it just didn't hold my attention, and I tried, I listened to it all the way through and was just a bit...bored. Sorry, not my cup of tea.

beetlejuice
I did the stereotypical bloggy-type thingy and made a list of my favourite 10 albums of 2010. And then realised a couple of days ago I'd forgotten to include Frightened Rabbit, so had to stick them in my 'honourable mentions'...rather than copy and paste the lot, here's a link:Hercules Moments: End of year list: Eoin
