imp: One Up 30th Birthday, King Creosote + loads more @ The Tunnels, 30th Dec

Aberdeens only independent record shop, OneUp Records in Belmont Street, has been celebrating its 30th anniversary in 2009.

Being a constant source of excellence in providing an eclectic range of music for sale, a hub for the local music community, an outlet for selling tickets, a focal point for gig posters and even an intimate venue for live in-house sessions, OneUp has always been a leading light in Aberdeens burgeoning music scene.

To celebrate this amazing anniversary, local independent promoter Interesting Music Promotions has joined forces with OneUp to present a wonderful evening of live entertainment and well known local DJs.

MARK DAVIS (Canadian singer and collaborator with Calexico and Giant Sand)

ISA & THE FILTHY TONGUES (Edinburgh post-punk and psychobilly surf band featuring members of Goodbye Mr McKenzie)

INDIAN RED LOPEZ (Rising and highly regarded local indie band)

MATRICARIANS (Wonderful local improvisers featuring local legend Alan Davidson)

DJs FINNIE, IMP, ELIZIUM, & ONEUP all playing an excellent range of classics from the last 30 years.

how late is 'late' ? Need to work out if I can get back to Stonehaven!

I think the curfew is 2am, although not sure what time the bands will finish. They won't necessarily be in the order they are billed, as KC will be going back down the road. Mike?

its a 8pm doors & a 2pm curfew although I think the last artist in T1 will finish about

1.15pm & then dj's IMP & Alun are going astound us with some classics to cram the

dance floor (no pressure guys)
