delboy
i must say i was suprised that josephine entered given the fact they've been around ages and have a 'proper' album out, maybe they just wanted free entry to the festival!
cow tipper
I'm more surprised Small Enclosed Area entered, given that they actually 'won' and played the festival last year...

RossP
"Straight out of S-Grade Physics stride nu-metallers-by-numbers Small Enclosed Space. First a quiet bit, then, wait for it, here comes the power chord chorus. Wow, that rawks. On the plus side, they have the coolest drummer of any band on the planet. He is a firing beardy rhythm machine-gun straight from the wastelands of Norway. "That was our review from the T-break selected reviewer, what a pile of pish. Couldn't even bother to get our name right. why didnt he start his other reviews of a couple of bands (won't mention who) with "here's the indie by numbers band ... here's the quiet boring bit, followed by the lame unispiring chorus bit, then the predicable bridge bit....etc....etc. At least we try and do something different. Plus thats two years that the reviewer has referred to us as a high-school band, considering we are all 20-23.Wasn't bothered about not getting in, as there were a lot of really good bands playing the heats, personal faves would be T13, Allergo, Weird Attractors, Venetian Love Triangle. Gutted Turning 13 didn't get in, as they were fantastic at Tuts that night. but hey ho, its just the opinion of 3 judges so you can't take it to heart

KarmaTsunami
i think the singer is eighteen, i remember him drinking beer during their set.
black plastic flag
the t break rules state that 1 person in your band must be 18 years and over!!

Camie
Yeh but the review was really really poor and so inaccurate thats the point he is making. People will read that and it wotn do anything good for SEA.
threeornothing
Originally posted by Monk Rocker:They didn't like your band. Deal with it. Monk Rocker
Not all reviews are "constructive critisism". Some say it like they see it. Some might see it as inaccurate, some might see it as wrong. The reviewer didn't like the band. The review had no bearing on the band playing at T. You gotta take the rough with the smooth and move on.The only reviews I read are those that slate bands because they are funny.
Guest Electric Tibet
If the criticism is constructive, you can learn from it. If not, you just have to deal with it. Otherwise... what else can you do?I know how it feels
hey che
Its nice to get postive feedback, but as you say there is now't you can do about people who just dont get what your trying to do, weve had a few negitives aswell, just be strong and keep going.
