Guest Jake Wifebeater
I think it's more a comment on the fact that pop-punk can't be 'hard'. By definition, it's sort of friendly and cuddly.Aye, that's what I'm getting at!Nothing against the genre at all, but it's very mild, inoffensive, harmless stuff and not punk in the slightest if you ask me. It's just pop with a bit more emphasis on guitars. It makes me think stuff like Bad Religion, which again, is no problem. I think "Against The Grain" is a great LP, a great pop LP. calum
I'd go with Descendents and Fenix TX.
Alkaline
Hmmm, Milo Aukerman is too much of a geek for the Descendants to be hard. Cracking band though, Everything Sucks and Milo Goes To College are my favourite albums.
Swingin' Ryan
The Descendents were pretty awesome looking back. Hope is a pretty heavy song, I think.

calum
MxPx are bloody christians, they're not hard.Unless I've got my biblical "facts" (how controversial...I'm practically Richard Dawkins) wrong I'm setting you up for a fight with that Samson boy:P

A lot of the No Idea / Lookout / Asian Man Records stuff also like Gunmoll, Crimpshrine, Tuesday, Grabass Charlestons, The Broadways > Lawrence Arms, Methadones, Lillingtons?. How to clean everything by Propagandhi would be a prime example, Latterman, Osker at times, No Fun At All...Also some awesome UK stuff: THE STEAL + You Me & The Atom Bomb + The Cut Ups
