Lemonade
Yeah I'm not so sure that would be a girl's movie, probably more one for the movie geeks, which I am but she isn't.
Bodast
There's a cineworld in Aberdeen? Since when? Isat the UGC?You should see the one you want tonight and the one she wants tomorrow.
Alan Cynic
If you're walking go to the Belmont...easy to reach heaps of pubs/clubs/Kilau!Or toss a coin...then you won't get slagged off so much if she doesn't like planet Terror. Lemonade
I ended up at 30 Days of Night, t'was fairly enjoyable tho nothing to write home about. Was a good new tellingof the vampire story, tho I couldn't fully enjoy it due to Mellisa George's freakishly inflated lips taking up most of the screen. Gory but no real scary parts. It's like chinese food, It filled me up at the time but not enough to stop me being hungry again like an hour later.... if you know what I mean. If I were a reviewer I'd give it 3 out of 5, and wish I'd gone to Planet Terror instead.
Alan Cynic
Still...at least you'll be in your girlfriend's good books for a change!Last film I saw was 'Atonement' in Edinburgh (the ticket guy told me it was 'the feelgood movie of the year'!!!!!!) A movie that makes your lip tremble, eyes well up and makes you really wish you hadn't gone to see it on your own, and simultaneously glad you went to see it on your own so you don't have to feign nonchalant unmoved-ness when the lights come up. Alan Cynic
Sounds about right....there were heaps of women in for a second or third viewing....the pools of tears made the steps somewhat dangerous!I thought it was a good laugh:up:

Bigsby
I think i'll go see Planet Terror tonight after workIf you want to see it, go quick, apparently the box office takings have been dismal and it wouldn't surprise me if it's pulled sooner rather than later. Can't say I'm surprised, releasing films in the UK six months after the states is crazy these days. Anyone who wants to see Planet Terror is likely to have seen it on R1 or by "other means" by now.
Johnny Mac
Indeed, i'll pop along to vue after work and catch it at 6.
Jim
I think i'll go see Planet Terror tonight after workDeath Proof > Planet TerrorThey got released as a double feature over here, which I thought was a great idea but led to poor ticket sales. Johnny Mac
Dunno Jim.... I thought Death Proof was a bit boring.... I prefer my zombie movies.Yeah, was meant to be the double feature here too, but for some reason they split them. Both have bombed here as a result. Jim
Planet Terror was too over-the-top and hammy for my liking. I realize that this was the point, but I didn't enjoy it as much as Death Proof, which had superior dialogue and cinematography. Plus, it had cool cars. Johnny Mac
haha, well, that's always a good thing.I wish they'd been the double feature here.... I've only seen a couple of the spoof trailers......
Jim
The spoof trailers were amazing. They're included on the DVD release. Apparently, 'Machete' is being made into a full length feature.

Brymon
Ive got Planet Terror and Death Proof R1 DVD's, ive had them both for the past couple of months. Machete is the only trailer on them and that was on the Planet Terror DVD.Yeah also the are making Machete, Robert Rodreguez is directing, i belive Eli Roth may be making Thnksgiving (which is another spoof trailer) but that could be just a nasty rumer!
