WoodyRATM
My budgie i have now is an evil bastard so all he can do is talk.God knows how, but its pretty annoying when i keep hearing phones ringing and other random things when im in.I used to have a cockatiel (sp?) that was awesome and would come land on you, happily sit on your shoulder while you were busy (outside inc). she'd also share your breakfast in the morning. The only advice i could give is to get them to trust you, so like alot of handling i guess.but i refuse to hold my budgie....like i said, evil bastard.... billythekid
nah you're screwed with two. I've only managed to ever "tame" budgies when it's on it's own. Otherwise they just laugh at you behind your back. A single bird is really easy to get to land on your hand and walk about the floor/your head etc.btk
Benji
How did you get them off the curtains that time? If they disobey you at every turn? Well thats a funny yet sad story. I have to work under the cover of darkness to catch em. I turn off all the lights, Tv,Pc and use a torch pen to locate them and 'Hijack' them back into their cage.I mean, all I want from them is for them to go back into their cages.Cool bird Intravenous. I like the way it sits on your hand. How did you manage to achieve that?/Jealous!

I think your big problem is that you have two...when there is two together they will socialise with each other and have no need for a person I guess. When we first got ours he was scared of people and would peck but I'd just stick my hand in the cage anyway (covered with a jumper or other such protective clothing ) and gently nudge him on. You could try that a few times just inside its cage. We also keep ours in the kitchen which has the highest traffic of people and noise, so he got used to the sound of people. Friday's Child
We had two budgies called Popeye and Olive when I was little. They were really good, and landed on your hand and you could feed them by hand and stuff. However, my alcoholic grandparents were visiting one year, and they decided that they were too hot, so they opened the back door and one flew out. The other one died a week later, from a broken heart. I believe the former was probably mauled by a seagull or pigeon. Vermins.

JaseyBoi
Having any kind of bird as a pet takes a lot of work and a lot of patiance bux.....They are not naturaly obedient to humans so they really needed to be handled a lot as chicks and handled even more as adults.......Chasing them round the living room in the dark with a towel will never ever make them trust you....Also giving them a bath by spraying them with a spraybottle as they fly by you isnt gaining there trust either lol......You are not a birdman tbh cheef so i guess your budgies will eventually be caged pets period .....Get a bike ......Having 2 budgies will not slow down the learning process if anything it should really help.....Budgies are not solitary birds as far as im aware anyway.....Having multiple budgies actually improves there chances of talking....... And I don't do any of that stuff anymore Jase. Well... apart fae the sraybottle technique for cleaning them I'm learning heaps of techniques to tame them though, even joined a Website that tells me heaps of stuff. I think it'll take some time to tame them but it can be done.. Hopefully.
