DR DRAKE in association with MYSTERY LOUNGE presents.....

The intense and volatile live experience that is Mountain Men Anonymous will be descending into Dr Drakes, during a month-long UK tour in support of the Gloucester trio's astonishing new album 'Krkonose'.

Creating a truly terrifying wall of noise with guitar and primal drums, the band seem to find crescendos well after you think theyve gone as mind-crushingly high as they possibly can. Yet amid all the fury there is an undeniable fragility and melancholy, evident in tracks like Finding Heart Through Pain and If All Else Fails.

On Krkonose (pronounced 'Krkonose')., the band allow these delicate elements more room to breathe. With skittering electronic clicks and occasional singing complementing the rock battery, the record is an unnervingly beautiful confection. Epic in the best sense of the word, Krkonose sounds unlike anything else youre likely to hear this year.

Dont just take our word for it, heres what the experts think:

'one of the most spectacularly beautiful records of the year so far With this record MMA will see themselves promoted to the post-rock premiership9 / 10' Rock Sound (writing about Krkonose)

they take dynamite to dynamics with a rare brilliance. NME

"A suitably mountainous sound, KKKK" Kerrang

the kind of band who prompt that little flip of the stomach when your head and body realise together that what they are experiencing is near-greatness. Big Issue Cymru

Krkonose is released on March 22nd via the My Kung Fu label. www.my-kung-fu.com

also joining them wil be the beautiful SLOWLORIS froim Edinburgh www.slowlorisonline.co.uk. Slowloris are a 3 peice and have played with all our favourites including Casiotone For The Painfully Alone, Silver Pill, Wow Kafe, MTS, Microphones, Sons & Daughters....

REVIEW

"SLOWLORIS - Past Redemption / A Very Slow Signal (cdr)

"I've been with others and it doesn't feel right," intones the singer on "Past Redemption" as the guitar squall collapses around her, experience lingering at the edge of apocalypse. This is organic noise with inspired echoes of My Bloody Valentine, a hip hop groove underpinning matters along the way. "A Very Slow Signal" is a wonderful sludge of a song, the sound of which BRMC would sell their very livers to own.

Slowloris are, to put it simply, a band that deserve your undivided attention."
