I don't think it was drawin attention in a constructive "this is what YOU can do to help" way which plenty of organisations do but more an emo rant about the workld being fucked which in many ways it isn't. And I honestly don't believe politicians and so on are demons by trade, it's not in their interest to be inherantly nasty, certainly not in this country, despite what the outcome of their actions often is. But let's not go down that road. I just think occasioanlly it would be refreshing for the human race to pat itself on the back: it's a world with a lot of problems but alot to be proud of too.

For what its worth I think more and more people today are a great deal more concerned than they once were. We are frequently accused of political apathy but I think that is partly because we don't have dedications to parties like previous generations had. Instead we are more concerned with the bigger picture' date=' not with Unions sniping and etc as we all were in the 70s, but with things like marching against an illegal war, recycling our rubbish and so on. And it's plain daft to say no-one cares about the starving millions with [b']Live8 and the G8 so recently.

did you know the money made from the first Live8 when straight to the dictator of that country (i forget his name) who spent half of it on wepons from the US and the other half on rations for his troops?? true story.

The meaning of life seems to have been dominated by materialism. Money, climbing up the social ladder, and power is what our generation can aim to achieve today.

In order for things to get better, i believe things need to get a lot worse first. Something big and terrible will befall the human race in the not so distant future, and the look on every shitty human's face will be priceless. It will be then that we hopefully realise "We've done it all wrong. Lets do it right this time."
