[/quote']Hi Slipp0r,Sanctuary is this Saturday and Corrosion this Friday from 10.30 till 3am.The Pelican is ok, it's not amazing but it's not shit, the dance floor is around the same size as Moshulu, has a good atmosphere when busy, as it was last week, it has a decent PA and smoke machine. my only complaint is the toilets but everyone complains about the toilets no matter where you go. As i was the Original Air Guitar DJ in Moshulu and upstairs in the Palace for a fair few years every Saturday at Sanctuary.there's nothing worse than going to a club asking for music and never hearing it been played, if i have it, i normally play it. I have been into rock music now for 27 years and have been djing for 13 years on and off, nothing is to heavy for me, i just hate indie alternative and punk.If there is a crowd to please, i have these styles of music to choose from below.Hair Metal, Hard Rock, Glam Rock, Goth Metal, Death Metal/Black Metal, Industrial MetalElectro-Industrial, Melodic Death metal, Thrash, Stoner Metal, GrindcoreGrunge, Heavy Metal, Metal, Post-Grunge, Progressive Metal, Speed MetalI do want to make Fridays and Saturdays completely different.this will be the third Sanctuary on Saturday and and also the third Corrosion this Friday.There is also a Goth Electro night called (Elizium) on the first Saturday of each Monthwith DJ's Alun And Jaymz. Hope you don't take my comment about Moshulu's Air Guitar nights being "rather weak" personally.I don't mind listening to Air Guitar music if I'm relaxing at home, but on a night out I prefer the sort of music I see on the play lists you have posted here.Should make it tomorrow. Daz had set up Corrosion as a regular Friday night and Sanctualy on the 2nd and 4th Saturday of each month. The first Saturday of the month is Elizium ([url']www.elizium.net) and the third Saturday is Xenophon (www.xeno-phon.co.uk & www.myspace.com/xenophonix ). Seems Corrosion and Sanctuary have both stopped - Elizium was on August 5th, and Xenophon is going to be happening on August 19th. There have been no announcements as yet about what will be happening with them in September. It looks like they have got somebody new to arrange nights in there - I heard that they are looking for 'big name' DJs, and they have posters up for one such person 'Fergie' ( http://www.djfergie.co.uk/fergie_dj_home.html ) on the 18th. I'd imagine that if this is a success they will have other DJs in there for more dance nights. Sad that Daz's nights didn't get more support, coz although I'm not a huge fan of metal, it's infinitely preferable to 'big name DJs' in my book. I don't usually decide where exactly I am going until I am town and it often changes later in the night. If someone produced a comprehensive list of club nights at the metro, it might help people like me choose where/when to go.I reckon these sorts of club nights could get a lot more people with some publicity. I probably would have been to a Sanctuary rock night if I had heard of it, before it hapepned. This could possibly be something to promote at freshers week if they are going to be started again (which I have seen no mention of).
