i'm covering the 80's show for the next couple of weeks (10PM - 1AM Sunday night via www.q102.fm), looking for some suggestions for 80's songs especially cheese. stick with hits mind, nae point in suggesting early napalm death, it is corporate evil commercial radio remember!

though when i've done it in the past i have veered towards making it del's alternative 80's show :)

How about Bird of Paradise by Snowy White? That's an 80s cheese-fest.

i would add the caveat that I really hate the song, but it would seem to be appropriate for your needs.

Cheese? Hmm...lemme see....

Sly Fox - "Let's Go All The Way" (Hint Of Cheese)

Brenda Russell - "Piano In The Dark" (Cheesey)

Whitesnake - "Is This Love?" (Processed Cheese Slice)

Jermaine Stewart - "We Don't Have To (Take Our Clothes Off)" (Very Cheesey)

Fleetwood Mac - "Little Lies" (Cheese-tastic)

Level 42 - "It's Over" (Smell that gorgonzola)

Morris Minor & The Majors - "Stutter Rap" (Comedy Cheese)

Rene & Renata - "Save Your Love" (Uber Cheese)

and the parmesan topping....."The Birdie Song".

Too much cheese before bedtime will give you nightmares.... :nono:

Wow, haven't heard that Sly Fox track since the 80s, but I do remember it.

How about "You're My Favourite Waste of Time" by Owen Paul?

Or Living in a Box by Living in a Box, or We Close Our Eyes by Go West.

The Scorpions - Wind of change

Came out on 1991's Crazy World album so doesnt qualify, was in the charts the same time as Bryan Adams 'Everything I do' which kept it from the no. 1 spot, which brings me to:

Summer of 69 - Bryan Adams

Garden Party - Marillion

Animal - Def Leppard

Big Area - Then Jericho

Invisible Touch - Genesis

Rock you like a hurricane - The Scorpions

True - Spandau Ballet

Rio - Duran Duran

When will I be famous - Bros

Let's be honest Del, I'm your man for 80's music ;)

Shakin Stevens - Green Door . . .

Obviously not being a woman of the *cough* 80s ' date=' I obviously couldn't recommend . . .

Billie Jean (although Mr Jackson might be out of favour),

The Lovecats, The Cure

Sweet Dreams, Eurythmics or

Two Tribes, Frankie goes to Hollywood

as top tunes.[/quote']

Top tunes indeed, but a distinct lack of fromage . Maybe Shaky.
