Tav
Hey there I was wondering if anyone could help out with a remedy to my problem. I noticed yesterday that my desktop now looks like the picture below...if i right click to change my background it won't let me do it. The tab simply isn't there! I also noticed that there was a short cut to a spyware program on my desktop. No one in the house installed it apprently...I think that perhaps it has changed the back ground in an attempt to get me to register the program? I uninstalled it which took me too...https://secure.shuddex.com/?pid=3&aff=50⊂=0 I think the two are most likely linked.Next problem is that a lot of sites I go to now contain "dodgey" links that have some how been inbeded into the pages by something. As you can see in the second image...suppose to be a record label website but NO! theres heaps of porn links...So does anyone know whats wrong specifically? Could anybody suggest possible ways of getting rid? I have tried norton anti virus/lava soft adaware with no success.
lepeep
I downloaded the spyware killer from microsoft, you don't have to register it (it look slike you do, but you don't have to)...it's pretty damn good i have to say.one thing I would say, is start your PC in safe mode, and run it, because most spyware bastard programs have exe's in little place running all the time, and to "kill them", you have to make sure the "unwanted" exe's are not on.worked a treat for me, and all I looked at was some dwarfs shitting on a vicar, in rubber, looking at a magazine with women with animals up their arses...i didn't think I'd get spyware from sites like that.... ho ho
DrinkDrankPunk
go to http://www.download.com and search for Adaware, it is wahat i swear by. I think its great, does a better job than the McAffee Spyware Privacy thing my mum coughed up for on her computer.Just download, instal,l scan, and youll be surprised by all the shit it manages to dredge up from within the depths of your computer.Bob

DrinkDrankPunk
i think some stoopid percentage of the worlds spyware must come from P2P programs and porn, my friend still swears to this day that one explicit site he visited led to the death of his laptop. CamilleY
I've got Spybot Search and Destroy (you can find it through google). You download it for free or give a donation via Paypal to the guy who runs it. I caught a dialer even though I'm firewalled up to the eyeballs and BT (the bastards) charged me a fortune. Spybot worked a treat for me...
MattJimF
If you remember the name of the spyware program a quick google search will probably result in solutions for getting rid of the said problem.
