Yep still time for a celebrity death or two before the year is out! The Rick Parfitt/ George Michael double header last Christmas was as good as a celebrity death double whammy as there has ever been!

I've thought about that but then I think what if one of my current one dies??? However there is gonna be a shake up for next season and a couple are getting released on a free transfer unless they peg it by the end of the year!

I might sign Mugabe for next season as I think he will limber on for a little bit yet but once his power has been taken away then, he will lose the will to live. I cannot be the only saddo who is looking for potential signings for next season....

Have to agree regarding T2, I thought they balanced it out perfectly and it was entertaining from start to finish. My missus who is foreign and has never seen the first one, loved it! It wasn't perfect though - Begbie's story was implausible and wish they'd have used Kelly Macdonald and Shirley Henderson more.

Cambridge leading 2-1 against Accrington Stanley going into injury time yesterday. Penalty to Stanley and red card, penalty missed. From the saved penalty, ball handled on line, straight red, 2nd Stanley penalty missed. Played out the last few mins with 9 men and won the game. Moments like that make the 95% of dross you have to ensure all worthwhile! 3 wins on the bounce, up to the heady heights of 19th in the league!

Cracking revamp in the EFL trophy (formerly JPT), hmmm let's invite the Premier League/Championship academy teams into the competition and make it a group stage thingy... only problem is the berks invited the EPL teams after they announced the revamp and most the top teams turned it down. So its meant to be regionlized and Cambridge (60 miles from London but in the North apparently) got Middlesboro, Shrewsbury and Scunthorpe, all of whom are over 100 miles away but its only one game vs each team so we will be at home for at least one of them (think the academy teams have to travel). Anyway sounds like an absolute farce but they are still implementing rules to prevent teams putting out a team of fringe players and kids. On a happier note first game of the season at home against Barnet next Saturday where optimism for the season is normally shattered by half time
