  1. My mate has a good one called dapperlaughs. He does a 6 second pulling lesson every couple of days. Some are funny some aren't but thats comedy for you.
  2. Forgot to add based in centre near Morrisons or can drop in my work which is the music hall so dead centre.
  3. I'm doing quite alot of set ups. All my tools have just arrived from Wales so ready now for most jobs. Fret levelling and profiling, stoning, nut cutting and replacements, pickups, fault finding, electrics and of course set ups. Done a few guitars for people here Kev ksj, young a, colb, graham needed his pickups done. Good prices plus at the moment 24 hour return. Obviously depends on amount of work needed and amount of guitars to set up. 25 quid for basic set up which is neck relief, intonation, strings changed obviously, fretboard oiled, action set. If need more work done like fret levelling, polishing etc then can be discussed. Contact me. Stevie.
  4. Hi Tom, Thanks for the offer but not a KA fan,
  5. I got a little big muff pi.
  6. Long shot but if anyone has some Humbucker sized p90's let me know.
  7. Yeah I can fit it no problem. I still have colins pickup at home. Hopefully all my tools turn up soon so can offer better options. Fret dressing, stoning, nut cutting set ups etc.
  8. Graham meet Colin, Colin meet Graham. If i am correct this is Graham i mentioned the pups to via Dave Milne. I heard you may have been interested so let Dave know and i let Colin know someone might have been interested in his stock Fender ones.
  9. Yes agreed. Lets all wish them the best and hope it works.
  10. If you are going to look at it as a business then it makes total sense. This is one room at 20 quid an hour. Toms has 4 maybe 5 rooms going at once. So making potentially 75 quid an hour. Mv has 7 rooms so works out same so from a business point of view there has to be a higher rate. Ain't it better tho that they charge 20 then drop the price so people feel like they are getting a deal or starting at 15, realising they are not making enough money to keep the business open then put up to 20. People be up in arms like the end of the world is coming for a fiver.
  11. My point exactly Colin just u worded it better. Best of luck to them I say. Somebody with the balls to try get a new space up and running.
  12. I'm not offering anything. I was just sticking up for it. But at least it has caught people's attention. Sure it will work just fine and a simple tweek in price who knows. Businesses need feedback so if the price is dropped then people will feel like they gained something.
  13. Have one less pint each at a gig. Done. It doesn't matter what happens tho people will complain. Drop the price then everybody will want go use it but can't so will complain there is no space so either way people will find a flaw.
  14. No problem. Was hoping for hum sized.
  15. Yes Joss but you're 14, I couldn't afford it when I was 14 either but my point is while people are arguing about the price other people are thinking yeah I will try that seems a good deal to me to be in a fresh clean space alone to work. Never said u had to work in oil to have money but it certainly does help. Maybe it will be a business that draws different clientele so what's wrong with that. Its like having a sports bar with pies or a 4 star Michelin restaurant. Both get used but by people who want to.
  16. It's simple really I would think. If u don't want to pay that price don't go simple. But as mentioned above, its not like there is a lack of money in Aberdeen. 20 quid for some people is pennies to others. Fuck I'm from cheap as chips south Wales, live here, don't work in oil and understand i can't get the hell out of here cos my salary goes straight away on rent as flat prices are crazy so no chance of saving. 1 bed flat here is more expensive than a 5 bed house in my town. Yet, the wife runs dance classes and can charge whatever she wants cos if there is one thing I have learned being here is plenty of people have disposable income. If u can't afford it don't go, if u can then why not.
  17. Good luck. It took me bloody months to find one. Nightmare.
  18. Well guys I would say give it a chance. Johnny who has opened the studio has done a few shifts with me at music hall and he has worked hard to build this space. It's a young lad starting out. Great benefit for me would be the graphics to get better vocals but also not having some loud metal band next to you and with the circuit's being just for you other musician's won't come through your amp. 5 quid more is nothing to actually be alone in a room that has been made for it with all new equipment which has been correctly set up. I will be giving it a go cos as all things new, you don't really know what it's like until u try it.
  19. Lindy Fralin blues specials. Awesome, can't get much better. I am currently bidding on one from ebay. I will have the one out of the classic vibe available if I win it.
  20. As it says. Something like a keystation etc. Let me know what u have Stevie
  21. Your wife will definitely notice that.
  22. Like I said it was 15 years ago but yeah in wales. Learn the triangle.
  23. But on a serious note. Why would they make u change instrument for educational reasons. I played guitar right through school and used a guitar piece for my gcse where I got an A. Surely that can't be right. That was 15 years ago tho.
  24. If there is one thing u do well Joss is you get people talking. But if there was a Facebook like button I'll be clicking on doctor evil.
