I recently stumbled across this track by Nervous Choir, an early-80s Goth band from Aberdeen. I think the music has actually aged quite well. What does everyone else think?

The Vaselines must have made a few quid on royalties, though - so it wasn't all bad.

You may well be right. A lot of good music has been made by dicks, though.

Nirvana were/are one of the most over-rated bands of all time. Decidedly mediocre, in my opinion.

Gosh, I hadn't heard this before. It could quite easily pass for a Stereolab track.

Michael Rother's Hallogallo were great when they played Edinburgh last year. Did anyone else from here go to that one? Oh, and I really like this Amon Duul track (perhaps because it reminds me of the Fall):

Great selections - the Kraftwerk clip is particularly good.
