I'm going to see the Michael Clark Company tomorrow (Tuesday 5th June) at HMT, and I've got one spare ticket that I'm trying to sell. I'll accept the first offer of £15 (face value is £23). Yes, you're right, it's not really effect pedals per se. It's more the multi-layering of guitar parts etc. I do think it's a landmark album - it's just that the sound and production isn't really to my taste. I would agree with you that the You Made Me Realise ep is fantastic, though.

I would rate Isn't Anything above Loveless, personally. Loveless is a bit too dense and over-produced for my taste - too many effect pedals!

There were quite a few bands in the Banff area during the 60s, apparently. I'm not sure of the names etc. (I think my brother would probably know, however)

It'd be great if someone unearthed some garage or psyche stuff.
