  1. I'm pretty much restricted to snakes because of my job. And even then, the slithery fucker would probably still croak whilst I was away.
  2. It's weird that you're other memory heavy projects work fine. If it weren't for this, It'd definiftely sound like a shortage of memory. Are all your reverbs etc. on aux channels rather than a different one for each track? I'm not sure of your ability with Cubase, but a lot of less experienced users tend to fill their sessions up with unnecessary reverbs and delays etc. That's probably no help whatsoever. Oh well.
  3. Can't you get it out the library? I'm sure they'd have a copy, so long as it's not been taken out already. I'm pretty sure it's a lot cheaper than other DVD hire joints also; like a quid or some shit.
  4. Are lizards in any way similar to snakes in that they can be left for weeks without food?
  5. It once took an hour and three quarters to get to union street from Kirkhill, not including the half hour wait for the bus itself. It just seemed to arrive whenever it felt like it. During peak times, it's surely the busiest service in Aberdeen, no? The bus out to Badentoy is certainly a lot more pleasant. When I was a regular on the 27, I couldn;t get a monthly pass or anything either because I often did overtime and had to get a stagecoach bus home so it wouldn;t have been worth it. Also, I was too early to get the cheap day ticket. My commute cost me a fucking fortune back then.
  6. I didn't realise Stagecoach had a solely city based service. I see what you're getting at now. This is a pretty tenuous conversation. Damn you nightshift; making me partake in such waffle. Stagecoach and First are dicks.
  7. Dundee is 12 miles further. Not sure what the price of a bus ticket is to Dundee but I still think 15 is a lot for that journey. Especially when you can get to edinburgh for 22 return on the train. Perhaps comparatively it isn't that expensive, but I reckon the price of bus travel in general is a tad on the steep side. A necessary evil though. What's that about the 59? I'm lost. Regarding fuel consumption: cruising at a steady 60 in top gear is more efficient, so surely dual carriageways are no reason for increased prices.
  8. Lothian buses have it sussed with their flat rate for a single ticket. It's good value in a place the size of Edinburgh and, I'd assume, discourages people getting on the bus for a few stops. It used to be fine and handy when it was a pount too because you didn;t have to fuck around getting change sorted. I think it's up to 1.20 now though. Does anyone get the 27? That fucking meat wagon was the bane of my life for 2 years. As for Stagecoach: 15 for a return to Fraserburgh! The Wi:Fi is not an excuse for the price because it's non existent.
  9. His hund raising aside; my opinion of him is that he's a cunt. I don't need to give him a break because he, with the help of his listeners, raised a vast sum of money for charity. I should be glad that money does get raised for charity, but I don't need to change my opinion of someone because they've done a good deed. Maybe a 'Chris Moyles is a cunt' thread should be started. This would keep slagging of him and praise for his charity work separate.
  10. I totally misread your original post pointing out the two methods were different. As for resistance and impedance. Good point; my bad. Although, the ohm rating in this case will still be the same, as nominal impedance should pretty much be the same as if it were purely resistive, would it not? I'm a bit rusty with reactance and inductance and sll that shite at the moment.
  11. I'm sure theres nothing to stop one from using a suitably rated resistor to alter the impedance of a cab either. Probably more likely to be necessary if only one speaker is being used.
  12. Fuck sake, chill oot. I didn't mean any ill, I was just trying to stress the point that we are in agreement about his charity work. Your comment about fair play etc. seemed as if you'd missed the fact that I do appreciate his good deed, which perhaps you didn't. So, apologies for that. Also, my apologies for being needlessly wordy. If you'd like to leave me a (short) list of acceptable adjectives for future reference, that would be cool.
  13. Yup, well done for using his status to raise heaps of money for a good cause. But I still reckon he's an over payed, over weight, over opinionated blob. A blob that, for some reason, 8 million people choose to wake up with every morning. He Makes Chris Evans seem appealing. He's to radio broadcasting what The Sun is to journalism. I could go on. Each to their own though.
  14. 51 hours not eating would probably do that useless, overweight oaf some good. Also, you can still piss and eat on the radio. I doubt it'd be anything new for that overwhelmingly grotesque fan of food. What happens on radio 1 these days anyway? Same old shit?
  15. Ha, just as well you actually bothered to check. Yup, do it the proper way 4x4ohm speakers in parallel would equate to 1 ohm, not 2.
  16. Well, it's not going anywhere. I'll need to confirm that it's a B7 actually, but I'm offshore just now. I'm pretty certain it is though.
  17. That's the proper way to work out impedance in a parallel circuit. I think the afore mentioned one works too though. I've seen it before anyway.
  18. That was pretty gash I reckoned. They haven't done anything good since Planisphere.
  19. Yo, I'm thinking of parting ways with my official Bigsby B7 vibrato. Bigsby B7 : BIGSBY GUITARS & VIBRATOS – OFFICIAL WEBSITE I'm open to reasonable offers Cheers
  20. A decent rule of thumb. Obviously if you know the signal impedance, then it's better to match it to the speaker to get maximum power. I think some people reckon it can affect tone too. But I'd contest that.
  21. Your Vox will output 30 watts. An 8ohm speaker rated below 30 watts wouldn't be a good idea but 30watts or over will be fine, although the closer to 30 the better. I believe you'd be fine running a cab with a higher impedance than your amp, although the power output of your amp would be reduced. I think it would be about half if you had a 16 ohm cab. If you use a cab with a lower impedance than the amp, you will probably damage your amp. So don't. Please feel free to correct me if I'm wrong folks. It's been a while since I researched speaker impotence.
  22. I was ideally looking for a 1979/1980's original. That Re-issue looks like a pile of dick. There was a couple on ebay recently but I decided last minute that I don't need another guitar. Thanks for the link anyway though!
