  1. My unborn fetus has started moving about. I can actually feel it when I put my hand on my wifes stomach. Its a pretty terrifying ace-ic.
  2. The weather was a bit duff on Friday, some rain. Made the fields a bit muddy - but it was bright on Saturday and Sunday it was pretty much blue skys. Not good when you are standing in one place with the sun just tracking above you.
  3. Download Festival. Black Sabbath, Refused, Steel Panther, Tenacious D, NOFX, Dropkick Murphys & Prodigy. Metallica played too, but I don't care much for them. Also ace-ic, getting a sun tan.
  4. Why is every website I go to telling me their policy on Cookies. What law has changed?
  5. I hope you like your cone of Diabeetus.
  6. Stamp Duty. The government want to take how much?! Wonder if i can ask for a waiver because I need to move, because my flat isn't suited for having a baby. Tell them the benefits my child will bring in terms of tax revenue. And the fact we aren't entitled to child benefits.
  7. Felt them thumping the piles from our flat on King Street.
  8. Would appear so, it's a lot easier than I thought it would be.
  9. Looks like my wife is giving birth to the Joker. Fair smile that alien has.
  10. The MD of Bond has just stepped down, interesting.
  11. The insolvancy act was updated in 2003, making it more simple. The priorities are : Secured Creditors, Preferential Creditors, Banks, Unsecured Creditors. I would imagine he would be an unsecured creditor, and that would put him at the bottom of the chart right after banks. He may be a preferential creditor, but he would have to see what the terms and conditions of the investment is. Now this is a moot point if the company doesn't go into administration. But the judgement has to be made on what the chances of that happening are. But because the company isn't publicly traded they don't have to make their accounts public, so you can't really delve into them to see what the fixed assets are and all that accountancy jazz. He might have the investment taken off his wage before tax, which would help the companys tax bills. It would also help ca-gere, as it ultimatly reduces how much tax he would pay. As he is getting this investment "free" of tax (so to speak).
  12. From the sounds of what ca_gere is saying, the company doesn't appear to have public traded shares. As he mentioned if they go for IPO he can cash in and get shares. I don't know if this is an under the table way for the company to make some money, without having to go to the banks who would require repayments. If he isn't getting anything in return for his investment, I wouldn't recomend it - as if the company goes bust you can bet he is going to be the last one to be repayed by the creditors, as they go for the companies owed the most first.
  13. La Stella are also in the spree book.
  14. La Stella has pretty good desserts. Check their menu online. comedy option - take her to Millars of Midmar and give her free reign over the Sweet Trolley they have there. I used to work there. It was ace-ic at the end of the day getting all the left0ver scones to take home.
  15. I got sunburn on my feet when I was in Tunisa a month ago, you can still see the tan lines of where it burnt around my flip-flops.
  16. It's like they want to make themselves look busy in the build up to their IPO. Just stop fiddling with the interface. 901 million users like it as it is. Stop pricking with it.
  17. On a similar note, I went snowboarding last year with new goggles. Complained about them the whole trip, and on the second last day realised there was a clear plastic scratch-protector that should have been removed. They were excellent after that.
  18. The BBC article on parents who film their kids daily/weekly, showing how they grow up over the years. The first one I saw was a baby to 12 year old in 2 minutes 45 seconds. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RtyqS68ViWk
  19. Edited my post to put a link to the website. Look Jake, I was looking at old pictures and then saw that this one was 178.
  20. You know whats ace-ic? Looking at pictures of Aberdeen from 150 years ago. if picture doesn't work - here is the link Here These are 178 years old. One Hundred and Seventy Eight Years Old!
  21. Everything is more expensive in Norway. 2nd most expensive place into the world to get a Big Mac. I reference, the Big Mac index. I paid £10 for a Chicken Royale Meal in Switzerland last year.
  22. I did realise what I said was laced with innuendo. heh, heh, in your endo.
  23. It probably wouldn't have been picked up in maintenance, but there are vibration probes around the shaft. They identified an increase in vibration - so I guess this is how they would have normally spotted it if it got more extreme?
