  1. Sweet kit. Tit. fade - good choice.
  2. Bulb bottles - check they will fit your amp... I need a set, but the Fender Hot Rod won't hold 'em, I fear.
  3. Gumtree Glasgow - tweaked Std for £950. Nothing clean/orig around Edinburgh under £1250
  4. Any LP after 2000 needs looked at. Buying blind is a real risk. Neck angles are all over the place and some have WAAAAY too much fresh air in the heel pocket. Tap the back around the tenon area and listen for hollow spots. Shocking.
  5. Can also do a modern shape black - on - black. Missing one knob, though. For this one, will pay £10 + post for the hardware and pickups at the end...
  6. Sure - I'll post you a red with white scratch plate worker P copy for £45 paypal gift (assuming in the 'normal charge' courier zone). It is clean enuff to look right and to freak some folk when it dies, and red shows up well on camera. Plays OK. Can have it delivered to wherever Thursday - or whenever after (Saturday costs me extra, but you could collect from the depot before noon).
  7. All depends on the target tone and power handling requirements.... ..horses for courses. Clues re amp, music style/target tones and budget would help with recommendations.
  8. Stay away from pretty much any Celestion 50w or the Seventy 80, unless you are specifically wanting them for what they don't do.
  9. Great amp. Just needs sprayed in all contacts and controls, I'll bet. Wish I was near.
  10. I once lived forever. Dull, dull, dull.
  11. Choice of an as-new Roadhouse in black/tortoise in a good hard case or a more used but great player '95 USA Standard cased for the 450s...?
  12. iT SEZ Boss TU3 - £40 & £5 P&P (£75 new)
  13. Superclean TU-2 £50 delivered. Also saw this - http://basschat.co.uk/topic/182044-fs-aguilar-tlc-boss-tu3/ These get a good write-up and this is cheap: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Korg-Pitchblack-Chromatic-Guitar-Bass-Floor-Pedal-Tuner-with-True-Bypass-/360473719667?pt=UK_Guitar_Accessories&hash=item53ede87373
  14. Saw this... http://basschat.co.uk/topic/182044-fs-aguilar-tlc-boss-tu3/
  15. 'cos it would cost £50 delivered and I didn't want to go through the "more than I want to pay - anyone else?" routine... ...unless you want to pay it... ...in which case it can be yours for the weekend....
  16. Rollsm128 midi buddy Clean £57 posted
  17. So - I'll give the back story as an abject lesson.... Mate has my old black painted Mk2 AH250 and a cut down full flight/face off Trace 18/15/12 cab. Now, the cab is 300w 4ohms and does bass beyond bass. Freakin' amazing. He loans it to a pal for practice and an important gig. See where this is going...? Pal is running a rented SVT through it full bore. Which is no prob for the cab - must have been A++++. Until During some antics, the power lead gets knocked out of the head. Panic. Then "Whomever" fixes the problem. By jamming the power lead back into the hot, dimed and switched on head. Which produces a light show. And fuds both drivers. The 15 is open circuit and rubby. The 18 is open circuit and moving freely. Don't ask about the head.... not mine, thank gawd. Morals a' plenty (no particular order): Don't loan Don't have power leads in a walkable/trippable/git access area Shut your amp down before plugging in Respect the awesome plate voltages of valve amps Trust no one to set up/touch/take down your kit Well, I have loads of 15s, but the BW in my Peavey 1820 cab is 4ohm and I would prefer to reserve my 8ohm Fane Colossus 18 for a project (I have a non-cut down Trace 12/15/18) Plus I don't reckon the borrower guy wants to pay £300 for the fix. So.. anyone have a 'no issues' minimum 300w 8ohm 18"? Price? Thanks on behalf of mate and borrower.
  18. Aye, I was just sayin'. Dunno if the chap will trim his price.
  19. Last Pro Jr I had was mint, had a Jensen speaker upgrade and a tweaked valve set. I got £175 for it. Would be interested if yours comes in the friendly side of that.
  20. Clean Marshall 1960A on the go down here @ £250.
