  1. Which he shaved off and sent to Charlie Allan, which then got put up for a competition in the EE...there is a lucky winner out there somewhere!
  2. Fair point, but fact is if 1,000 people riot then that is 1,000 people causing trouble. No matter how you look at it that is way too many. Manchester was embarrassing for the majority of Rangers fans and Scottish football as a whole. I heard that in Madrid, the Dons fans were provoked but unfortunately there were some who responded and as far as I'm concerned that brings shame to the Dons. In fact, someone tried to "recruit" one of my pals to join in a fight after the game...utter cunts. Anyway, thousands of Scotland fans travel to see the national team play and there are very few arrests or trouble regardless of how many go. That is how footy fans should behave, doesn't matter what small percentage causes trouble they are still bringing shame to their club and everyone associated with it.
  3. It's the Chuckle brothers at centre half that concerns me. I'm just nae a fan of a Caldwell. Still, I bet their Ma will be proud.
  4. Those people were off their rockers, to think they found it acceptable to protest outside dead soldiers funerals claiming they deserved to die is beyond me. Even worse when they had their kids involved and they clearly didn't understand what they were there for.
  5. And the final shortlist on the Northsound website is... Kasabian - Club Foot Theme from Local Hero The Northern Lights Queen - We Will Rock You Survivor - Eye of the Tiger Theme from the A Team Blur - Song 2 AC/DC - Thunderstruck Stone Roses - She Bangs The Drum Somehow "Club Foot" just seems appropriate to some of our players.
  6. That show was ace, I felt really sorry for him when they were trying to humiliate him at the training centre and pushed him so far he ended up puking. Was a good documentary last night, a real eye opener. Reminded me of the one he did where he followed the Philidelphia (I think) police department.
  7. I feel sorry for the 260 Dons fans who weren't tear gassed and can see the game.
  8. Haven't they got to get rid of the hedge for pitch size regulations or something? I remember seeing on TV that they had to move it but were reluctant as it was part of their history or somthing.
  9. I'd probably go along with the Beatles for reasons already discussed. However, as a personal preference I'd like to throw Radiohead into the mix. Currently probably couldn't be described as the best band but in terms of reinvention and innovation they are right up there. After two belting albums in The Bends and Ok Computer, Kid A and Amnesiac was a brave direction to take (although probably not to everyone's liking). Then releasing In Rainbows online where you could choose how much you paid for it was a new way of releasing and distributing music. Add in the fact they have some superb tunes and are immense live, I reckon they'll leave a hell of a legacy behind. That Yorke lad is a miserable cunt though.
  10. How Soon Is Now by The Smiths.
  11. Cafe 52 is pretty good as mentioned above. I was in Soul for food recently and thought that was actually quite good. Hadn't eaten in their before and hadn't heard that the food was anything special but may be worth checking out. Mind you, it may be shite and I just got lucky.
  12. Hopefully we'll see some signings but I wouldn't be surprised if there is even more prudence now. Effectively being out of Europe means another source of revenue is down the pan so the board may tighten the purse strings even more. Splendid. Some more stories (again) on teletext about Hearts being financially fucked though.
  13. Unfortunately, this is an issue that haunts us Dons fans have on a daily basis.
  14. A bit like 10 men went to mow - it was alright at the end but the nine verses beforehand was a bit of a slog.
  15. Choose a song by a local band, hijack the vote and get everyone to vote for it. Much in the same way Man U fans got a stand at the City of Manchester Stadium named after Colin Bell so the City fans sit in the Bell End. Wouldn't work but might make things interesting!
  16. He bears a striking resemblance to Jimmy Krankie as well!
  17. Fat Hippy Showcase with: Static in the City Audiokicks Stimulant The Switch Fivefifteen Doors open at 8pm, 3 entry
  18. Just got a comp for Belladrum so will head along to lend my support. Caught you lads at Danana and was very impressed.
  19. Yip, unless it was a typo in the email I got.
  20. A pal of mine is selling two standing tickets for Green Day at London's O2 Arena on Saturday 24th October. 240 for the pair. Leave a message or PM me if you are interested and I'll pass on his contact details.
  21. I was unfortunate enough to go to school in Kirkcaldy so there was always plenty of fights to watch. A particular favourite of mine was this weird guy in sixth year who seemed to enjoy bullying pupils younger than him. He had it in for this kid in third year and tried to pick a fight with him one lunchtime. He started it by trying some sort of wrestling move where he jumped and leaned back to try and scissor the young boys head with his legs and drag him onto the ground. However he missed, landed awkwardly and dislocated his shoulder. To make matters worse, the third year then proceeded to give him a right shoeing. One nil to the little people!
