  1. I was watching CD:UK this morning and Brian Harvey was on. Then the other three came onto the set and said that they are all strapped for cash and are going on a tour in summer to hopefully sell out some arenas. Perhaps a little coincidental with the Take That reform?
  2. If you don't send this to 10 people in an hour then you don't really love aberdeen-music
  3. Wednesday 8th right? Two of my school/jazz band comrades James and Edward Marr play in the Aberdeen Jazz Orchestra aswell, so I shall see you there. I hope to go see Polar Bear, Graeme Stephen sextet and the Aberdeen Jazz report thing on the sunday. If any musician in particular at that, I would have to say Peter Lowit 8)
  4. I thought you were going to, after you asked me if I knew what a "49" was, to which i said no, which you then proceeded to leave to go outside, using your index finger to indicate to me to follow you. Are you aware how scared I was?o_O
  5. Had a really fucking good night, got to hang out with Horse the band and went to Forbidden Planet with Nathan and Erik for some comic books. Our set was pretty shitty, we had technical problems for fuckng ages and so we had to cut our set short. I couldn't do anything about the guitar because if I put the volume up, all I would get is that annoying feedback. Pretty disappointed however it was good to play some new songs live. The Butchers of Bakersfield were entertaining but not musically a good filler band for the night. Flood of Red...Oh dear. I found them boring, repetitive and oh so cliché. Pretty disgusted that a band such as them were on the bill. Plus their 'audience' must have all had tourettes or something because they kept shaking their heads every three seconds to get the combover out of their eyes. Then they had the decency to leave before some decent music came on. The Final Sigh were better but still the old typical bollocks. Go and write some stuff that isn't just regurgitated shite that everyone has heard before. Horse the Band were fucking awesome, but that is probably mainly because I have waited years to see them. Like Nathan said "we don't soundcheck. We just come in, play our set then go out and drink or something", and knowing what they were like live from footage on their tour dvd, I knew what to expect. But the crowd were really getting into them, and best ending to a set EVER: just walk off the stage and go drink. Classic. Highlight from them was Soaring Quails/Taken By Vultures and The Black Hole
  6. The reason we are selling for a fiver is because we were unsure wether tickets sold = what you get paid on the night, so we make 50p profit off each ticket. Doors are at 7:30. See you all there
  7. odd...I was actually listening to EP two yesterday while going through a nostagic phase of Aberdeen bands, and yes it is still pretty good but I remember these songs being 300% better live.
  8. Yes, we shall be, probably about quarter past 7ish. You can buy a ticket from us if you want. Look for the small pricks with the long hair and DC Beanies 8)
  9. Yeah there is going to be quite a few new songs aswell as some old ones. Problem is that some songs may require additional members in order to play live, but we may find a way of getting round this 8) , and if not, we can work on it for our next gig
  10. I stumbled upon this article from Evil Avatar: http://rsch1.ml.com/9093/24013/ds/276873_0.PDF I guess that could explain the price.
  11. It all comes down to E3, to find out exactly what the fuck Sony is playing at
  12. We are selling tickets at £5 each, so if you would like to buy one please PM me.
  13. It isn't just the price, it's the lack of features aswell. Once you buy a PS3 game and run it on your PS3, it will be unique to that console. If you try to play it on your friend's PS3 it won't work. That is just plain ridiculous. If you pay 50 quid for a game and think it's shite then you are screwed. Also, no blu ray technology as promised o_O
  14. and Fluffy and the Rainbow Bunnys, but they are irrelevant to what is going to be a heavy gig indeed.
  15. http://www.myspace.com/screwattack Listen to 'exclusive PS3 news' Oh dear god. Playstation is fucked
  16. It's just pronounced how it is spelled. Like Yoghurt with a 'Z' Discussion complete.
  17. Yeah I thought Contra were really good. It was nice to hear some old tunes like Jimbani and Dead Wrong, and the reggae song was great. Only thing that I wasn't so keen on was that most of their set was reggae/ska orientated, but they were tight as fuck so it didn't really matter. As for Rage, well, the fucking bouncer wouldn't let certain members of my party back in after we went to get food so I didn't manage to see them and went elsewhere.
  18. Awesome. Will Marcus be going with you? I literally haven't seen him in over two years so that would be great if he came
  19. It's alright I'll be with my mate Allah that day
