Get in there Kashmir Red... Chris...you know how you were sayin about the battle of the bands being young/crap/nieve bands etc i cant remember exactly what it was you said so dont quote me... How come a fair few of the bands in all the Fudge Awards are currently or have been in the past couple of months taken part in Battle Of the Bands? 8-)

Chris...im strugglin to understand your 'Battle Of The Bands' being worthless comment...fair enough its hardly going to get you that 1 million pound recording contract but for other things like studio time and cash prizes...things to help young up & coming bands get on there way... Look at Ablach winning Battle of the Bands...15 free 2 hour practices...an this is worthless? Completely agree with your last comment though... 8-)

They won the O'Neils BOB's northern heat and come second in the final in Glasgow, they got into the final of The Suns 'Win a Deal' and they are headlining the "Red Stripe Music Awards" in March 2008... They get more radio play than most other local bands on Northsound O106 an even have Charlotte 106.5 (american Rock station) playing there tunes... Also got support slots for Palladium, Alphabeat, The Ad's, Captain Phoenix, The Brouges and The Apple Scruffs... All done in less than a year of them getting together... 8-)

Instead of saying Kashmir Red are shit/gash or whatever they were called....maybe the people who have said it could go into a bit more detail so they can take some good out of what you say... Kashmir Red are shit aint very good constructive criticism...its just being rude... I agree with the playin '5 nights a week' (slight exaggeration)...but if they enjoy it an they continue to pull a crowd then whats the problem? Why get bent out of shape about it? I mean look last week...14 pages because a band with a 15 year old drummer got some coverage in the paper...OMG!?!?WTF!?!?!... Then we have people cancellin gigs because they are on the same bill as another band...fuckin get over yourselfs... Everyone knows the music industry is full of egotistical twats an of course not everyone is going to like your music but to be getting slated an not constructively criticised on a local music site is a really poor show... 8-)

No no its cool, Anythin that been booked through me is the same as normal. Im still doing it but just not as religiously as before as Dave is managing to find bands himself. I will probably still put on the odd night as its been really succesfull with the gig swap milarky. Local bands have played out of aberdeen 5 weeks in a row so happy days... 8-)

To be honest i am tryin to back away from it now... The last night i am doing is this Saturday with Dirty Deeds, Static In The City an Kalamazoo...the only reason i am doing this night is because i wanted to see forfar band Kalamazoo...there really good so check them out if you can... Been doing C35 for 5 months now an not had a penny...time to start concentratin on being a wife an a mum an my full time job. Its a fair amount of work goes into it espeicially once you get limited to what kinda bands you can put on etc... Dave has been doing alot of the bookings now too hence The Bash Street Kids/Supranos playing every month... Not the way i was wantin to go with it...i was seeing more of a Dr Drakes 1 & 2 kinda place but hes boss... If you want a gig or you want to hire the place i say get in touch with Dave himself...it really is a good venue with loads of potential... I did my first open mic night there last week an it went really well... Peace 8-)

Female Drummer & Bassist... We are forming a girl rock band. So far got the vocals an 2 guitarists. Got original material for a few songs an would like to do some covers...Skunk Anansie/Cranberries etc Only one of us is experienced in gigging in the Aberdeen circut so dont be afraid to get in touch if you dont have any experience at all...
