Stuart, Pearl Jammin aint playing at Opium till next Friday, i got the dates wrong. Im going now too so hopefully it will be a good night. They are taking full backline with them an they make whats made at the door. Opium aint a music venue anymore he is just doing it coz he is a huge Pearl Jam fan an favour to them as there gig at Bannermans got cancelled. Gemz

My cousin is now in a cover band in Edinburgh an they are doing pretty well...its her full time job so they must be doing alright... Pearl Jammin were meant to play Bannermans at the weekend, travel an accomodation was all booked then they pulled out last minute. Bastards. Opium was a last minute booking just so they didnt lose out on the money they had paid for everythin else... Tell me more about Opium? Im tryin to concentrate more on Glasgow but to be honest i am struggling to get promoters an venues to take me on as im sure they must get loads demos all the time. I have had loads for Celler 35 an i just posted on here! To be honest i totally lost track of people emailing me so hopefully i hear back...whoops... I figured that if i can get bands from all over scotland to play Celler 35 i could maybe arrange some gig swaps... Well thats the plan! I am just going by what i was told by the bands that i have had playing there. Also my cousin has been giggin in various bands for about 15 years in Edinburgh an even she says its a waste of time... One of the Merkin bands Pearl Jammin is playing in Opium in Edinburgh this weekend...il let you know how they get on... Its maybe good for punk/screamo/hardcore but i wouldnt know... Just my thoughts but then again if your mates are staying in Edinburgh they will know the craic already. Celler 35 is 18+... Dave went to see someone about a new PA yesterday. He got quoted around 2k... He is kitting the place out with loads of new stuff i think...not sure when it will all be there though. Gemz
