well yes but it is a business we can hardly expect venues to put on gigs and not make any money out of it. none the less, fair point

i dunno but there are other bands playing who are relatively unheard of or brand new

any way the point is this should be a good gig lots of new aberdonian bands playin so you can get a taste of the future.

I didnt see this any where else so i thought i may as well make a post about it. Any way this is a fund raiser for C.L.A.N. there are 8 or 9 bands playing its forever tied's(ex-A Dead Issue members) first ever gig so come down have alisyen and a couple a beers with us after.

i meant that you probably had darkest hour in there but nobody had told you the support bands but aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaannnnny way thisis all off topic now.

this isnt a thread about the gc or whatever but the reasonit probably didnt list them wa because they were supporting darkest hour and also yes its a bit of a foolish name.

thank you mister graeme c now we have a reasonable civilised (iknow the idiot comment was hardly civilised) post, i know that bands need to earn the right to have a crowd but some people just aren't willing to listen to bands they have never heard of be it through lack of enthusiasm/interest in new bands or whatever i don't know. you are correct i am going mostly on what i see on these forums to say that there is alot of bitching. it isnt the bands or the facilities that i feel is lacking its the attitude and absence of camaraderie between bands and gig goers alike that i feel needs working on there doesnt seem to be the "feel" of a scene more like every band/artist trying to get one up on the other bands and artists that are going around.

do you know the person that posted this thread or am i right in saying you just assumed that he wasnt doing anything? i agree with him the problem isnt with the talent of the bands up here it's with all the bitchin and back biting between bands and the elitist bastards who feel they have some right to write off every band because they themselves don't like them. another problem is that people tend only to stay at gigs untill their friends bands have played then they leave that is a major detraction from the scene, bands are pluggin away but the crowd dont really care about the music so aren't listening. and to the idiot that said 10 threads out of however many doesnt indicate a large problem, of course it does i doubt this entire website is made up of three or four topics which are the "real" problems. thank you and good bye

hmm i thought dead man in reno were better than architects but both were good sikth were outstanding but the crowd didnt seem to get the point of a CIRCLE pit which was slightly annoying

umm we have 6 songs now by the way and we don't want the first gig to suck but we would like to have one and this is a golden oppourtunity for that i'm personally sick of sitting in a practise room with nothing to work towards and to be honest seana said what we were all thinking she just had the fortitude to say it

it's fine two practices the week before and it'll all be good i can remember the whole of the new song aswell
