  10. Excellent UK rockers Million Dead are to go their separate ways after this month's tour alongside Gay For Johnny Depp. The following is lifted straight from their website: "Million Dead are breaking up. After four years and two albums, we have mutually decided that this is best thing to do. Irreconcilable differences within the band mean that it would be impossible to continue, and anyway, wed rather leave a good-looking corpse. Our reasons are personal and assured. Therefore, the upcoming September tour will be our last. "Wed like to express our deep gratitude to those who worked with and for us over the years, who had faith in us, and without whom we would never have got anywhere. Wed also like to thank all those who bought records, came to shows, and generally gave a shit. Were still pleasantly surprised that anyone ever did. "You will no doubt be hearing from some or all of us again at some point in the future."
  11. Saw an advert for the Kill's Glasgow gig which says Be Your Own Pet are supporting - anyone know if they'll be playing at the Lemon Tree too???
  12. Excellent!! I bought the Octavia album a few weeks ago - can't wait to see them live! And it's free!!
  13. I still think one of the best i've heard recently is Nina Gordon's version of Straight Outta Compton. NWA done acoustically - fantastic. You should be able to check it out here- www.drownedinsound.com/bands.php?id=5687

  15. Yeah looks like We Rock Like Girls Don't have pulled out - not happy about this as they were the main reason I was going on Friday!! This is from the Lemon Tree website: "Unfortunately due to unforseen circumstances, We Rock Like Girl's Don't have had to pull themselves from the Friday's line-up where they were to appear to support Eddison amongst other bands on the Fat Hippy Record label. Now joining Eddison, Ross Nicoll and The Mannequins, and Amy Sawers will be local all girl punk band, Broken Sunshine."
  16. Damn - I'm supposed to be in Glasgow that night. Think I might have to change my plans - going to the Lemon Tree sounds like a much better idea!!
  17. Someone told me he thought We Rock Like Girls Don't are playing the Lemon Tree - is this right?? If it is when are they playing?? Saw them at T in the Park last year, and would definitely go and see them again!!
  18. Best one I've heard recently is Nina Gordon's version of Straight Outta Compton. NWA done acoustically - brilliant!! Should be able to check it out here if anyone's interested: www.drownedinsound.com/bands.php?id=5687
