  1. here's a couple of snippets from 2 different reviews to back me up...! 'The venue in Manchester's seedy Northern quarter is not where you may expect to find the three be-spectacled, ordinary looking guys who form Lanarkshire's 'De Rosa'... 'On stage is Scotlands answer to blistering american indie, De Rosa. All three guys have short hair and glasses and seem like some sort of triplet ensemble...' hehe! oh, and i bloody love De Rosa!! their demo i have had for over a year still gets played regularly in my house, never get sick of it! cant wait for the album to be mastered... www.wearederosa.com
  2. yeah, but...did your cousin play bass? that was a new bass player they had on sat (who is in fact the drummers brother!) which means i could still be right! i'll find out!
  3. aww...isnt that nice....! and GU Medicine were amazing!!! we'll have to start doing reunion/memorial gigs soon!!
  4. emm, could someone explain what its all about and how you use it (for all us thick bits!)
  5. well there is no sound system as such but no reason why we cant sort something out...even just a cd player and compilation cds pre-recorded!!
  6. well toms is actually closed on saturday nights at the moment....last band only in till 7.30pm...so then we take over, move the drums etc out of room 1, deck it out with the sofas etc (aka chill out/sit down/drink/smoke room)......and use room 2 as the gig space where it will be up, close, personal with the bands. perfect for this type of gig me thinks... as i said donations at the door greatly appreciated to help with band costs! there will be a few wee rules eg no smoking in the corridoors (but thats what room 1 will be for) and some parts of the studio will be out of bounds

  21. yeah you're right...IF ONLY we had a local press who were behind what we all do, and who would help to intrigue joe public into whats actually goin on in these wee dingy rock holes around town!! and not just cover the big shows/artists/stars who really dont need any coverage...! they are coming round a wee bit though...with Interesting Music Promotions getting some in depth articles/interviews on some of their upcoming artists... the journals need to employ someone, like an avid gig goer/music fan to help change things.....dont ya think?!
