  2. PVH will be on 9.15ish SCOTCH EGG will be on 10.15ish...and he wont be dj'ing at all, just performing a live set..3 gameboys/microphone etc etc and LB, as much as i'd like to give you an exact time for them going on i think its kinda impossible as i have no idea what they're gonna do tonight, until we speak to them at least JUST GET ALONG AS EARLY AS YOU CAN!! and Giles Walker will be mashing it up in between, and after the bands..
  3. ahh what a nice positive thread! glad everyone enjoyed themselves, Molia Falls certainly did and would love to come back again on their next uk tour... out of interest, simon, the drummer, has his own electronica project called Skoud...its lovely stuff. check it out here www.myspace.com/skoudmusic

  5. and it WAS ace all 4 bands were great, all complimenting each other perfectly. Molia Falls were truly beautiful... i think the 2 rooms worked well, and people made the effort to check out what was going on next door which was good to see. maybe we'll see more of these kind of nights... top time

  10. ok, we've decided just to stick with just the four bands in the main venue....MOLIA FALLS, SMALL ENCLOSED AREA, COPY HAHO AND AVAST!...an awesome line up on its own we reckon. and in 'room 2' Good For Nothing bring you EASTFIELD, THE PLANETEERS and THE UPSTARTS a total of 7 bands...5 at the door. nae bad
  11. there's a cool wee video on the molia falls myspace http://www.myspace.com/moliafalls
  12. or did 360TV just film the event maybe, with someone else doing visuals then? i know that Dave from RnB sometimes does visuals in The Tunnels..'Visual Dave' i think he gets called!
  13. thats funny, a lot of people said they did a good job (i wasnt there)
  14. 360TV recently did the same for a Stacatto Set gig at Drummonds, and provided visuals in the same way for the Creative Cultures launch at the Tunnels
  15. we're gonna be collaborating with the 360TV guys at Peacock Visual Arts in aberdeen to make our Lightning Bolt show that wee bit more special... as well as projecting the performances of all 3 acts onto big screens in The Tunnels, the gig will also be streamed live on the internet and broadcast through the Copenhagen based internet tv platform www.superchannel.org , and then archived. you can read a bit more about the 360TV initiative here... http://www.360tv.org.uk
  16. really good band...saw them when Gatechien played with them in Dundee last march. i think they were doing some gigs with Dead or American or something. they still got the violin player? i hope so..

  18. MOLIA FALLS are from sweden, played and toured with the likes of LOGH, JENIFEREVER and EF (who played aberdeen to an amazing response last september). they are for fans of TRISTEZA, THE APPLESEED CAST, EXPLOSIONS IN THE SKY, THE MERCURY PROGRAM, PELICAN etc they have toured the uk a few times before and have won many fans with tracks like GODALMING, A FRANCIS SLIPWAY and SUBURBIA all found on http://www.myspace.com/moliafalls arkade favs THE FALL OF BOSS KOALA this is a band who have seriously upped the ante in the last year or so and have firmly planted themselves as one of the best that scotland has to offer. having played some awesome support slots to the likes of 27(hydrahead) massive epic songs delivered with total conviction. those who witnessed recent gigs at The east neuk and Drummonds with Knives will probably agree with me. anyways, if ENVY, ISIS, PELICAN, OCEANSIZE, HOPESFALL, CIRCLE TAKES THE SQUARE are your thing go check out the mp3s at http://www.myspace.com/thefallofbosskoala you will not be dissapointed SMALL ENCLOSED AREA will eb the main local support. rarely seen in aberdeen these days, SEA have just returned from a two week uk tour, where they have been wowing audiences up and down the country, with some great reviews to boot. Another band who have re-invented their sound in recent times, these days sounding like a hybrid of PELICAN, MOGWAI, A PERFECT CIRCLE. I have in my hands a recent live-in one take demo from unity studios in inverness which knocks spots off of most bands recording attempts. http://www.myspace.com/smallenclosedarea now also added to the bill are EYE from dundee. epic post rock instrumentalists. some of you may have caught them in the Tunnels a few weeks back at the Bench gig. according to stuart maxwell...'BIGGGGG sound, songs that swirled and built for a long time, they lured you into a false sense of security and then battered you to death with something big..' good-o. just the way we like it. http://www.myspace.com/eyemakemusic one more still to be 100% confirmed so keep yer eyes peeled FRI MAY 12TH THE TUNNELS 8PM 5 SQUIDS AT THE DOOR
  19. **update** this is turning out to be a belter of a gig....now confirmed are EYE of dundee. so... MOLIA FALLS www.myspace.com/moliafalls SMALL ENCLOSED AREA www.myspace.com/smallenclosedarea THE FALL OF BOSS KOALA www.myspace.com/thefallofbosskoala EYE www.myspace.com/eyemakemusic and one more still to be 100% confirmed i think so i'll hang fire for now on that...
