i was suprised at the sna patrol support but playing the O2 arena would be good fun, i would like to see the modern day snow patrol fans poop themselves and the old snow patrol fans realise that they need to stop listening to a band which have turned into, in all the worst ways "dad rock" -

[GIG] The Twilight Sad + Household + Kartta @ The Tunnels

This is possibly the best gig that will happen in the tunnels this year. I cannot wait to play with the twilight sad. 14 Autumns and 15 winters IS the best album of this year. Sonic Youth, Noise, warbly scottish accent - brilliant! This band will be cult hereos in no time at all. I would go and see Household even if the weren't playing with The Twilight Sad. Kartta should fit in well, i don't really mind if noone comes to see us, however i will bust everyone in aberdeen's ass if the Tunnels isn't rammed on June the 20th! So there H -
surely if the man who wrote all the songs and to a certain extent was the figure head of a band has passed away, is it not a pointless exercise... "hello were thin lizzy - on bass we have a got a man that once met phil lynnot's dog. On guitar we have the third guitarist from nickleback and on drums we have a small frog! yay!" Queensryche - HA!

Acoustic @ Belmont Cinema Bar.... This Wednesday
Pancho replied to Pancho's topic in Gigs & Event Announcements
crikey that was nearly two years ago now. if i recall correctly (this was prior to my dedalus or kartta days) steven, rob et all had been at (now) superbassist michaels folk's house playing around in a forest as if they were in 'nam. Steven, as i presume he would admit himself, was awful. Niall Slater, as everyone should agree, was amazing! good times. -

ok this is how it works Stewcat - Tintin - young, chirpy and enjoys spending his time with old seamen. Alan Cynic - Professer Calculus - half mad and quite clearly deaf. Craig and Eion Kilau - The T(h )ompson twins. Scott Delawair - Bianca Castafiore - A diva that shatters glass Kilau Coffee Shop - Captain Haddock - Loads of swearing, possible alcoholic and commonly befriending youth! Woop woop! -

Herge's Adventures of Tintin, clearly represent the musical event that is happening tomorrow night. Nothing to do with the fact i like Tintin. -

heck i did it in five minutes. i'm a geologist by trade i don't know how to use words like you arty types... Kitchen cynics - the Kitchen Cynics are a world renowned act bridging boundaries of folk, jazz and noise. Deeply rooted in North East mythology and folk lore the Cynics take the listener into situations that are reminiscent of the works of Fairport Convention or even the rose-tinted retrospective nature of early Truman Capote literature. Murder, sex and alcohol play key roles in the Cynics spiralling narratives. One of Aberdeen music's older statesmen and a must see act, kinna folky stuff ken? so there. -

genius micah p is a genius. you could not ask for a better set of his own material and a interpol cover thrown in as well! Many of the songs i have never heard before, despite owning everything he has released but that's no bad thing. califone like there cds were interesting and had inspirational moments but maybe went on a bit too long. the crowd were noisey which either is a sign that people are rude and don't care about supports or that the band were not strong enough to silence people, as Micah can do. Grant Campbel had a good voice and a warm guitar tone but a Memphis via falkirk accent always leaves me a bit dissapointed. clearly influenced by the boss and a nice leadbelly/rory gallagher cover at the end. good night all round i say again. micah p hinson is a genius
