  8. i met roger miller from mission of burma recently. he was a nice man but i lied to him. i said i enjoyed MoB's set when in fact i as rather disappointed. he was in the middle of telling me glasgow was his favourite city in the whole world to play when a girl who had lost her voice came and told me (quietly) i was beautiful. i then went off and watched les savy fav. true story. Should be a good een!
  9. ok i agree, but a tad harsh indeed. give them a year and if alkaline still thinks they are as "appalling" fair enough. just not the best language to use when surely we are all trying to support new bands? As i said i though they were really good and look forward to seeing what experience and confidence brings.
  10. there is however constructive criticism and personal opinion, with the latter being of little use to anyone but seems to dominate this site.
  11. Then why tear them apart so much? Surely with a new band you should look at the positives, with the understanding that technical issues will improve with practice and experience. Aberdeen does have a lack of good bands at the minute, Y Change are new to the "scene" and your comments are hardly going to instil confidence in them. Anyway, although biased, I thought they were great and have a couple of really good tunes. I enjoyed Ashley Park as always YOTM were alright, didn't think much of the uber-effected vocals. Manatees were great but could have done with being a tad louder!
