Hey folks
The Tunnels are starting a new Showcase Night that will be starting in the middle of April.
We are looking for new acts from Aberdeen and Grampian to perform at our Showcase night. We welcome artists, ensembles and bands in any style and any genre.
Want to play a trumpet concerto?
Or perhaps some out-there electronic music?
Go for it! We want to hear from everybody!!
The artists will receive copies of professional audio and video recordings of their performance. The recordings are for you to keep, and you are free to use it for your future publicity.
All entrants should contact The Tunnels via the myspace page: MySpace.com - THE TUNNELS - 102 - Male - UK - www.myspace.com/tunnelsaberdeen.
Cheers
Jayne

Hi
I'm just wondering if there is someone here that's in the know about what is going to happen to the Music Club? I liked that place, great replacement for Beans when they got took over by Cafe Nero. Loved the jazz nights with Kate and Colin.
Are they going to sell it? Re-furb? Wait till they have some spare cash and open it again?

Hi, I'm interested. I'm a beginner looking to sing in a pop/rock style. When are you free? I work full time so I'm looking for lessons either at evenings or weekends.
Cheers
Paul
Hi Paul
Doing lessons on Thursday nights is that is any use, if you are still interested then PM or email me. Lessons costs are 10 per hour.

I would like to sing at this if you are looking for people. I also play sax, but am not very confident about playing an improvisation on sax, but I can haud a tune.

Hey Bill
Found started in Aberdeen, Ziggy et al. all met up at Grays school of art and started music together there. I think they started doing music at their degree show where they recorded and played random samples: Random Audio Therapy Unit. Not sure when that was, but I think maybe about 2002?

Andrew Learmonth just confirmed that this will be the last week.
That totally blows, I loved that show.
Andrew, thank you for all your great work in giving more exposure to bands up here.

Quite enjoyed recent one "Rhianna got thumped by her fella...ella...ella...ella."
Lmao, that's effin ace
Hmmmm, queen vic you say? Might have to check that out.
I used to go to the pub quiz at the Justice Mill, it was a great laugh and there was a 50 cash prize; quite decent prize for a pub quiz. Trying to find a decent substitute has proven quite elusive.

I'm looking for a pub quiz in town, where are the best ones and what prizes are up for grabs?
I'd also like to hear some good pub quiz team names
The best one I ever heard was "Dyslexic man walks into a bra" Ace

Wii fit is pretty good for me, as I would feel like a right fanny going to a gym. I am 12-14 and a bit squidgy around the edges. I would feel totally self conscious about going to the gym where folk might laugh at my love handles :-(
Wii fit is a good compromise as I can get some exercise and not worry about people being dicks.
Maybe when I have lost some chub and don't feel so much of a tube I might consider going to the gym.

Mine has got to be the world's worst
Joe Dolce - shaddap your face :-(

I know there is a place that does live music in perth, don't know the name of it.
You could always try the doghouse in Dundee?
-
I quite fancy having some space somewhere, but I would be practising music I think I might annoy other people.

I missed the last one but would love to go to the next one, sign me up too.

One of my old mates was having sex with her boyfriend when we were just finished primary school. This isn't anything new, and it won't stop happening either.
I'm sure that there has always been kids that are slags and start having sex waaaaay too early. It's not happening any more or any less than in the past imo.
At least now society doesn't chastise people quite as badly, and single mothers are not looked at like total scum anymore.

Last night's munchies were good-old Stovies!
were you trying to put your oatcakes in an aesthetically pleasing arrangement? Lol
