  1. we might be ok for the second date in july cant do the june one tho any idea which is likelyest? sounds like the wierd type of village-hall-in-oddball-town-gig we like will there be goats, an improvised female ultimate fighting championship and a lock in till 10am the next day? (standard for village stylee gigs) our fee would be two bottles of ASDA merlot and a selection of crisps (quavers prefferred)
  2. absolutely fucking immense! the man gives us hope (however small)
  3. i like them too, dead nice clean or scuzzed up humbuckers are fine too but theres so many some are bound to sound shit...same for single coils......it totally depends on what you wanna use em for
  4. its when they go on about 'junkie chic' if anyones ever known a junkie it def not chic sad that some pricks think its cool
  5. yeh i got scene points taken off and a death threat! must be maxwell.....
  6. Dee Lite - Groove is in the heart or Detroit Grand Pu-Bahs - Sandwiches or White Stripes - Fell in Love with a Girl or X Ray Spex - Identity or DAF - Der Mussolini or Cabaret Voltaire - Sluggin fer Jesus depends....
  7. thats what the rent boys were thinking on the way to Michael Barrymores pool party.....
  8. beyond shite the worrying aspect is the lack of shame
  9. I know its a pain When Im oot in toon theres always people going ''whats on the Tunnels?'' usually no one knows
  10. is there a tunnels website or full listings somewhere (other than on the poster in the tunnels) people keep asking me
  11. i was listening to Terminal X rehearsing a couple of weeks ago, had no idea it was them (untill I asked at the desk) sounded like fucked up John Ottway(?) / Johnathan Richman / Pistols (with Ronnie Biggs) brilliantly un-cool as fuck and tres funny
  12. dont need no modern shite! when a nice cheapo cliche boof tsh boof boof tsh does the the trick! Ive also got a Roland presets beatbox CR2000? which is even more unflexible than the 606 and therefor its even better.......the bossanova preset being my favorite...no human interference with the genius of the machines see! got a fully programmable drum sampler too for modern shit if I need to go there, but to be honest I prefer the simple cheapo sounds and me sampler just gets filled with 606 stuff anyway the SR16 sounds like a rock drummer in an 80s studio with his soul removed > its not a proper machine bleep
  13. its a fact that drum machines have better personalities than human drummers i would be much more comfortable introducing my Roland TR606 to family or friends than the drummer out of TV and for some reason drummers seem proud of their social disfunctionality
  14. the best drummers are the ones who can sound like drum machines anyway all humans will be replaced with computors unless we become better than computors and that is unlikely given our limited capacity to upgrade
