  1. my ipod miraculously recovered after almost a year out of action, before i bit the bullet i looked about for a solution on the net, but my problem was the unhappy face icon, could hear the thing trying to boot & continuously fail, anyway long story short, i kept reading about & even saw on youtube some giving it a few whacks on the side & hey presto it's back. honestly. search on net and you'll see the same bizarre solution being advised but like i said it was a different problem i had but hey if you get to the try anything stage (well apart from the freezer thing?!),,,,

  2. fucking hell Norther Uproar were bad....!!

oh come on, i loved them, right up until after their first album, performance at T in the Park was ace... for all 50 of us! also had one of their mates try to give me cheap gas/electricity bills or something once, door-to-door salesman, he was surprised i'd heard of them & had all their singles... :O

  3. cheers for that, i had actually viewed those two in my research, i ended up having a brainwave and bought a 2gb micro SD card from Tesco for 4.97 & loaded it up with tunes and stuck it into her mobile. all that for under a fiver & no new gadget required. slow but got there in the end!

  4. was wanting to get a little something for the missus while she is away on holiday, as usual left it to last minute as there are so many products out there I just can't decide

does anyone happen to have an idea of something along the lines of - simple to use, enough to hold about 500 tunes, small/lightweight, ability to play out load (without headphones) or through speakers and radio a bonus, video not really necessary, and erm, reasonably priced. been looking through amazon & play.com but as i said too many options...

  5. got my tickets today, quite a few bands a wouldn't mind seeing, quite a lot seen before at T, still pondering whether to go really...

didn't look over details too much but i think they've really missed the point of camping, they basically want you to bring a tent & spend all your money buying your food/drink when you're there. no camping stoves, FFS, it's the only time i ever eat a Bombay Badboy! Rockness with it's beer amnesty, BBQ areas, actually encouraged you to camp & be self sufficient. i guess with too many neds they are really restricting anything into the campsite that can be used as a weapon! i wonder if i'd get a banana taken off me going into the arena as "no food allowed to be brought in, but don't worry we cater for even the most fussy eaters" yeah well i'm so fussy i can't eat anything that's grossly overpriced! obviously a lot less people at rockness but i preferred being able to walk around from stage to stage, tent to tent, choose where to stand/sit without a million people in the way. if i go to T, it could very well be my last, after starting going since it was held at strathclyde country park, it would be a shame, ever increasing ticket price, same headliners year after year & less likelihood of all your mates getting tickets really gets my goat(?)

  7. If you just got the phone today, phone them up saying that you are sending the phone back under the 14 day cooling off period, want you PAC code so you can move to a different network, tell them you will be confirming this in writing both by email and registered post and that the call is being recorded for your own record incase anything goes wrong, just to see what they say to that.

was gonna reply something similar to above, so erm, have nothing else to add really... well unless you want to talk about this matter at the Lemon Tree on Friday night?!

  9. I've got tickets on my person if anyone wants some... I would say follow me on twitter but even if I informed everyone of my movements to the Loco Works in Inverurie tomorrow night, can't think anyone would come!

(Well that and I've created an account but not actually used twitter yet... ?( , plus it sounds a bit boring, well it would be if you preferred old fashioned stalking and restraining orders...)
