very true. I hear it can be avoided by the diligent purchase of a zoom or pod unit with a 'music suppressor' function. Those gentleman experts at r&b will keep you right. -
Finally! P&J gets behing the local music scene...

Christ, imagine if your band WAS endorsed by that miserable parochial rag, how uncool would that be? If it means that much to yous, phone them up and ask to speak to a reporter - if you're doing anything vaguely newsworthy, and they've got space to fill you'll probably get something in. Getting 'discovered' requires a more pro-active approach than you'd think. I don't think a pile of snotty emails will achieve anything (remember northsound/delgate?). Journalists have to fill space quickly, it would be vain, to say the least, to expect one to spend the time neccessary to understand all the musical/social/political intricacies of the local pissclub, especially when the boy from Driveblind's number is already in their mobile. another mystery solved - get back to yer fucking work! -
howz about friday night?

Don't warn them!! I was looking forwards to just planting some unsuspecting cunt in the face, removing the shirt from them ,and then demanding a tenner towards the cost of dry-cleaning the blood out of it.

Before everyone gets over-excited, and things start getting out of hand, I feel I should stress that UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES SHOULD ITEMS FROM THE BUFFET BE HURLED AT MEMBERS OF THE PROLETARIATE!!!!! This would be purely infantile behaviour, and not amusing in the slightest. -
Fostex R8 reel-to-reel for sale
General Ermintrude replied to General Ermintrude's topic in Trading Post
I'd also consider exchange/part-exchange for studio effects, compressors, reverbs and such like. -
I bought it off ebay, spares or repair. Turns out, all that was wrong with it was a couple of blown internal fuses! Now working good as new. IT IS a studio quality 8track reel-to-reel, 1/4 inch tape running at 15 inches per second, computer controlled locate function, can be synced up to an adat for more tracks. I'm selling it because I don't need two of the things.250 or nearest serious offer. It can be seen working. I can also supply copies of both user and service manuals if required. PM me if you're interested. Oh yeah, it doesn't sound as shit as digital!

super! when?

Am I right in thinking that ,if the HT fuse keeps blowiing, then the power valves are up fuck street? Should the HT fuse be fast or slow burn? (1973 50w Marshall Artiste)

Any posts which break any/all forum rules must be left untouched by moderators, if they are REALLY FUCKING FUNNY! The forums' poll feature could be used to clear up any grey areas. anyone fancy a game of democracy?

Anyone know of a good reel-to-reel technician in the northeast? It's for a fostex 8 that needs its bias adjusted and alignment checked over.

direct drive actually has greater pitch instability than belt drive. in a quality hifi turntable, the heavy platter acts as a flywheel and the elasticity of the belt smooths out any motor fluctuation. by a project; cheap as chips yet bobby dazzlers
