    2013/2014 Season

Curse your accuracy! Although, to be fair, that does mean that Aberdeen are aspiring to be the United side that never won anything...

    2013/2014 Season

I think this new Aberdeen squad has a good shot at winning a trophy, presuming that the trophy in question is the 2010 Scottish Cup.
  3. Dream League Soccer on iPhone. I am losing hours of my life. Hours.
  4. New Gibby SG and new Orange Tiny Terror combo and cab. I have had the animal for years. Being 33 is nae bad.
  5. If anyone is a) interested and b) near to Edinburgh, I am punting this: http://www.gumtree.com/p/for-sale/ashdown-4x12-cab-total-workhorse-tour-worn-but-otherwise-fine/1021595586
  6. Now finally available on iTunes! Go on, it's cheaper than a fancy pint.
  7. "The Cold In The Walls" is now available on iTunes, Amazon, Spotify etc. You can also buy it through http://curators.bandcamp.com and http://curators.bigcartel.com/, along with our first ever t-shirts!
  8. We rehearse at The Depot in Edinburgh and they keep a list of all missed practices and bill the band/contact person next time they're in. I can't imagine Tom's is any bigger or busier than The Depot, so it must be workable, or at least workable enough to make it worthwhile. The vast majority of punters will be repeat bookings, so a firm hand on billing for cancellations would surely go some way to sorting the problem. Regardless, bailing without any word is crap.
  9. This is shitty, but surely they have a "cancel at least 48 hours before or play in full" policy, or are these new customers each time?
  10. Cheers! We've got a really rather snappy t-shirt on sale now too - http://curators.bigcartel.com/category/tees
  11. We had the launch night for this on Saturday and it was a blast! We even managed to coincide with the guys from watchfires recording in Edinburgh, so new friends and new plans were made... Anyway, here are a couple of videos from the gig:
  12. Still listening to and enjoying this a lot! The first section of the vocals reminds me a little bit of Lucifer by The Crocketts. That is a definite compliment.
  13. Also, despite calling us The Curators and attributing a description that I'm sure we never used, Is This Music have said some nice things too. http://www.isthismusic.com/curators-2
  14. Nef, if you'd be interested in spinning a Curators track on your show, I'll send some stuff your way.
  15. The lovely chaps at Ravechild wrote some nice words: http://ravechild.co.uk/2013/04/19/record-review-curators-the-cold-in-the-walls-anti-manifesto/
  16. This semi-final has been brilliant.
  17. I always said Rory Boulding was a cracking signing.
  18. Thanks for all the kind words! For anyone down here in the central belt, our record launch is at Edinburgh Art College's Wee Red Bar on Saturday 4th May, with support from Cancel The Astronauts and Aberdeen's own Marionettes.
  19. I like this - it sounds a bit like a Scottish Brett Anderson fronting a more poppy Suede. In fact, bits of the guitar part are very Bernard Butler, and that is ace. I also like the band name which, while sounding like a trivial observation, I think is actually really important. My only criticism is that I don't think the recording does the song justice. In my head this would be a big, noisy rock single and that perhaps hasn't been captured. However, as you said, it's a first recording! Do you have plans to record more?I would definitely check you guys out live.
