  1. Sepultura or possibly the group that backed up Paul Simon on The Rythmn of the Saints album.
  2. sMALL eNCLOSED aREA are shite #cough# Only Joe King!!!!! Im actually a bit sad to be missing you RossP - im working till 8pm on friday then back in at 4am on saturday X-( Have a good gig anyway and see you next time
  3. Explains alot really:rolleyes:
  4. Its about time you mentioned this gig again, Ross Are sikTh still playing? ?(
  5. All the double CD Remasters are worth it, Clutching is worth it cos it shows what Marillion were doing just before the split whereas Misplaced has the entire album in Demo form on its extra disc Seasons End is a good remaster too if i remember rightly as it has if i recall The Release and Bell in the Sea non album tracks but deserve to be there along with The Mushroom Demos. Vigil should be an intresting album for you Mouse as it has a guest appearance by Janick Gers on View from the Hill not suprisingly the heaviest song on the album This was just before he became Iron Maidens new guitarist although he had appeared on Bruce Dickinsons first solo album Tattooed Millionaire by this time - FACT FANS.
  6. The only thing that really struck me about Raingods was 'Faith Healer' mainly cos it was the first song Fish played at the Elgin Town Hall in '89. The album version isn't as good as the Elgin version (for obvious reasons) and not as good as the live one on the B'side of The Big Wedge 12'' single either. Sunsets was the last Fish album i payed any heed to until Field of Crows got me excited about him all again. Thats probably why my favourites seem to run in order of release The rap thing didn't bother me on the album, i quite liked the song WHAT COLOUR IS GOD?, at least i think i did, i just listened to it again briefly and now im not quite so sure. Maybe Fish fans are becoming as bitter as him in their old age
  7. 1. Misplaced Childhood 2. Script for a Jester's Tear 3. Fugazi 4. Reel to Real/Brief Encounter 5. Clutching at Straws 6. Brave 7. Holidays in Eden 8. Seasons End 9. Marillion.com 10. Made Again Told you i like Fish era Marillion And My fave Fish albums are: 1. Vigil in a Wilderness of Mirrors 2. Internal Exile 3. Songs from the Mirror 4. Suits 5. Sunsets on Empire 6. Field of Crows Fellini Days and Raingods did nothing for me X-(
  8. I was never really heard much of Chimaira but i saw them supporting Ill Nino and they were fuck'n' amazing
  9. My favourite band of all time is Fish era Marillion and i would rate the albums in the following order:- 1. Misplaced Childhood 2. Script for a Jesters Tear 3. Fugazi 4. Clutching at Straws I dont think Fish has come close to surpassing any of these albums after he left Marillion. Of the two camps its the current Marillion line up that continues to put out consistently high quality albums, Fish's albums for me are far too patchy - when there good there very good but when there bad ...... Strange he would want to do a Misplaced Childhood tour when he so openly complained about people asking for the old songs to be played in that interview. I do understand his resentment of the Music industry however and why he is going for the cash but Mike Peters(The Alarm) & The current Marillion line up seem to be happy enough living off there sales via Internet/Fan power and building on it to reach the wider market. I really cant see him giving up as its his bread and butter but the break might do him good, he might also find a firm line up with people he can write with this may fix the consistancy.
  10. Misplaced Childhood is the holy grail of Marillion albums for me
  11. Dont make it public Hog its meant to be our little secret :O
  12. Very strange?( , that mind expanding hard drugs last night has made me write aloud of shite about HOG DEV FUCKER on this thread. See above for example ?(
  13. Yeah but its not as sad to like Marillion or Iron Maiden.
  14. Im going to Glasgow ( Metallica day ) and the full festival at Donnington SLAYER!!!! - YOU FUCKIN' DANCER
  15. I liked everything up to Icon, Draconian Times was a bit poor, haven't really listened to Host, One Second was pretty good, Believe in Nothing is excellant and haven't heard the new one that much to really rate it (although i do own it) the Bronski Beat cover at the end is excellant. I've seen them live 4 times, (Gothic tour, Icon, Draconian times and the Aberdeen gig for Believe in Nothing.) and they were excellant each time apart from there festival appearance at Donnington the stage was too big for them and it was broad daylight. Daylight doesn't help bands who are dark and gloomy
  16. I find it funny how people go off bands because they become popular, Its not like Slipknot tailored there sound to be popular, if they did they wouldn't have recorded an album like IOWA, instead they would have written an album of Wait and Bleeds. Music is meant to be entertainment and thats exactly what Slipknot provide. Long may it continue
  17. Megadeth have been one disappointment after another since Rust in Peace with the exception of Youthanasia. I saw them on The Clash of the Titans tour in 1990 with Slayer, Testament and Suicidal Tendencies and they were pretty ace live not as good as Slayer and Testament thou. Three years later i saw them supporting Metallica at Milton Keynes and they were fuckin' awful. I hope that with Chris Poland back in there ranks they return to former glorys, but no David Effellson in there ranks whats that all about?
  18. This thread made me look at the Fish website and now my credit card has taken a denting. Cheers Jester:swearing: Oh and one of the purchases was the mixed cd and dvd
  19. Strange how Mr Hogarth is trying to push a Marillion single into the charts after all these years maybe he's been watching The Alarm go in at number 28 in the UK charts by fan power alone and is trying to do the same Good luck to Marillion anyway there about the most underated band on the planet, they consistently put out great albums but just dont get the airplay and promotion that could open the eyes of people who like great music and dont follow trends. I really wish i was going to the Marillion and Fish scottish dates as its been a while since i've seen them both i may yet. Fish always puts on a good show and seeing Marillion on the Brave tour was just amazing. Jester1470 i think i might just see you down there.
  20. I thought Limp Bizkit were on first at least thats how i remember it.?( infact im 100% sure it was that way around as Limp Bizkit were completely unheard of and hadn't even released there first album when they played with Korn. That certainly was an ace gig thou and Marilyn Manson at the Barra's the next night was excellant too.
