  1. YIP YIP YIP! This is the official "It's a Disaster!" release show by us! If you wear a 10 easy wishes tshirt you get in half price! All the other lovely people still only have to pay 3 to get in to watch all the lovely music. It will be fun! You can get McPissed! And then after this gig we go on a little tour in Dundee and Glasgow and somewhere else. rarg
  2. There will be tshirts for sale outside the venue, inside the venue and in one up! They cost 7, and are very lovely, plus you get in to our gigs cheaper!
  3. I saw them at Kef and didn't think they were very special at all. I'm not sure what the appeal is really. I didn't hear any kind of stand out songs, and the singer annoyed me by saying things like "Oh we have to try out these fucking ear phone monitors because we have to support Blondie" and other things like that
  4. the boards used to be pretty much focused on giving bands some free advertising. it was far easier to reach a new audience by posting on the one forum that everyone looked at, and asking people to download a song, rather than searching for that particular forum that people who listen to mp3s go to. also people who don't know who 10ew are aren't going to waste their time looking through the forum for new gigs! if there is an exciting gig going on, it should be advertised the old way e.g THE QUEERS + 10 easy wishes + my minds weapon @ kef APRIL 4th and then there would be some writing. capiche
  5. this is like such a cool idea captain everything - learning to play with crash test dummies - god shuffled his feet radiohead - the bends but omg there is so many to chooooose from!!!11111
  6. really really really good. If you get a chance to see them play, you need to take it! For those of you uninformed, Norman's Fetish are an all girl band who sound quite similar to the early, early No Doubt stuff. They are basically a really good pop band with ska tendancies! The songs are all reeeeeealy well written, and considering how good live they were when I saw them at their first gig, this band should be really ace in just a few short shows from now! So, if you like well performed, well written pop music, go and see Norman's Fetish! Woo!
  7. I agree. And now this post has been condemned to the little known house of "comments and suggestions". I had never ever looked in here before. Oh God. To anyone that wasn't around when gigs were more highly attented, and the old forum existed, you cannot comment on what a stupid idea this is! Just trust me. Everything was much more fun. It's all too serious now! I feel like I'm being watched!
  8. guns n roses are about as important as someone wanking into a sink. Axl Rose is very well documented by everyone that ever worked with him, including the several band mates that left him cos they fucking hate him, as being a complete cunt. he is like an overgrown child, and just a few genital fondling incidents away from being a sort of michael jackson character. plus, he sings like a cunt and wears girl's leather tight hot pants.
  9. There 3 of us on the campaign trail. I just seem to remember that gigs were far easier to advertise, bands became far more popular by way of the boards, and gigs seemed to be much better attended. Instead of staying up at night to chat on the wasteland, people went to gigs to speak! I agree with Kai about the merge of the forums. I don't understand much about web space/anything but surely if two seperate forums can exist on the same site, they could become the same forum therefore taking up the same amount of space? No?
  10. I remember when I was a young lad. Interesting I know. I also remember that when I first stumbled across this here music scene from Aberdeen that there was a forum called "AUBL". Everyone used to refer to aberdeen-music.com as "the aubl", and life was much better. Everyone posted on the same forum, and everyone was united as an actual music scene, rather than people who spoke about music, and people who spoke about their socks. I have a dream. A dream where everyone is treated equally. A dream where people can post random shite about what colour their socks are, and then about how much they love emo, and then someone else can tell them they are idiots. And then there would be conflicts that everyone knew weren't real, but raised the adrenaline level that extra notch. It made my day. My heart would pound in my chest and I would feel alive as I read the brewing fight between Zombie Munch and everyone in a "punk" band. These were the days when things were actually discussed, not where one person posts something vaguely interesting and then one person replies saying "I agree". This is ridiculous! grrrrr. Were this forum to exist once more, people would learn that there is no value in posting about the colour of their socks. This only started happening once it was attempted to split the two. It's boring having to look through every single forum to find something even slightly interesting. grrrrr. Of course, forums like "wanted and for sale" and "musicians corner" should still exist, along with the band forums, because bands rely on these and niche market posting needs a home where people can find it. Otherwise everyone should be thrown in the same room! Like a big party. there will always be someone to talk to in the aberdeen-music forum, there's only a few people to talk to in one of the 4 million forums this site now hosts. Plus, mods wouldn't have to waste their time being nazis, and would not have to keep moving people's threads around BECAUSE THE LAW SAYS SO! The mods do a great job of course, and I prey that the wonderful rules of democracy allow everyone to add their say in this sort of petition. My dream is that all forums unite as one. No more discrimination! Let the people speak, and may the boards become an Aberdeen-music scene once more! Not a collection of some people who speak about music, and scenesters who speak about socks. Everyone together! Let the music flow like a river that is flowing very quickly through its banks so it ends up in the sea and meets all the crabs and all the fish and all the sharks. Help me live this dream!
  11. Sunday 4th April @ Kef : The QUEERS +10 Easy Wishes +support
  12. IS MINE! MWA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HAH AH AH AH AHAH HA HA HA HA HAHAH AH AH!!!!!
  13. Where is Usher Hall? Aberdeen? Upon which date is he playing?
  14. I think he's a legend. I especially like the way he plays cover songs in a way that sounds like only Jamie Cullum, if you know what I mean. I was sceptical as to how a different version of "high and dry" by radiohead could be anywhere near as good as the original, but the song just sounds like a Cullum song. WooP! I wish I had seen him
  15. The Kings of Leon album is ace regardless of whether or not they look stupid. One of the best albums ever made. The Icarus Line are just dull, bland rock with a singer who looks like he belongs in The Salon. And Buddyhead isn't very funny.
  16. How am I controversial by thinking Buddyhead is shit? It's boring! Just like Icarus Line!
  17. I also dislike emo but think that The Icarus Line are wank.
  18. My lord! That was one of the best gigs I have ever been to! I thought the no pints need to practise a lot but that they have really cool songs that i liked a lot and so therefore they are good! The Dangerfields seemed pretty crap for a while but once I got into them they were pretty rocking. Words do not describe the magnificent Real Mckenzies!
  19. Kef! WOOOOO! PLease buy tickets from us! Please!
