I really need to read the Invislbles I think. I love pretty much everything Grant Morrison has done. His JLA run in the late 90s was brilliant. I do like Mark Millar although I get the feeling he thinks he's better than he actually is. I noticed in Plan 9 window today that they have re-issued Preacher (issue 1 at least) for like 99p or something if anyone is wanting to try before they before they get the graphic novels etc...

I've got the first volume of All Star Superman, it gets off to a slow start but after that it's excellent. I love how Clark Kent-like, Clark is (if that makes sense). I picked up the first two issues of All Star Batman and Robin too but was a bit unsure of Batman's charachter in it ("What are you? Retarded? I'm the freakin' Batman"). I know Miller can do better. Kick-Ass is good though I get the feeling Millar is more interested in the film that the comic now what with only getting one issue out every four months. I tried following Ultimate X-Men as I love X-Men and thought it would be easy, being in it's own continuity. It's quite good but a bit too modernised/teenager-ish. Any other X-Men titles you can get where you don't need to know about all the other spin-offs? I've heard good things about Astonishing X-Men
  4. I was upset when Tatanka turned and joined the Million Dollar Man and shoved dollar notes in Lex Lugers mouth. Also, when Money Inc hit Brutus Beefcake with IRS's briefcase and he stayed down, all bloody, clutching his face. You don't get that kind of drama now. Earthquake was in Natural Disasters when I started watching it and was amazing.
  5. Haha what a dick! JBL is like a poor Ted Dibiase

I know there's a few fair few people on here that read comics, but hardly any discussion which is odd. Which comics are people currently reading? I'm always wanting to read more tho it can be a pricy pastime and as much as I try to keep an interest in the DC/Marvel universes its hard to keep up with the continuity of them. I'm really enjoying The Boys right now, not the deepest of titles but consistently funny and un-pc! Been meaning to check out Y: The Last Man for some time now and Gerard Way's (as much as I dislike the man) Umbrella Academy.
  7. Good night, Goldblade did not disapoint and Strictly 'Ardcore has been in my head all day. Had to leave before the end, did they play Haircut? I meant to buy John Robb's book but I forgot.
  8. No way, I didn't know they were one and the same. That totally ruins it for when I used to play with my wrestling figures when I was little and made storylines had Repo Man as my world champion at the same Demolition were my tag champions. I miss proper tag-teams. I liked Repo Man's entrance where he'd creep about, all sneaky and happy looking when he must have known he would be getting beat a few minutes later by someone equally rubbish like El Matador (without disrespecting Tito Santana) or Virgil
  9. No one missed The Headbangers. Not even Thrasher and Mosh miss The Headbangers.
  10. Bret Hart's autobiography on sale at Play.com: Play.com (UK) : The Hitman: My Real Life In The Cartoon World Of Wrestling : Books - Free Delivery
  11. It was CBBC 90s programme Christopher Crocodile. Amazing!
  12. How about the blindfold match between Jake Roberts and...I think Ted Dibiase? That was pretty bad
  13. You sir, are correct. Hart vs Benoit and Hart vs Michaels are the 2 greatest matches ever. Fact. (followed by Mr Perfect vs Ric Flair on Monday Night Raw in 1993)
  14. Good review Marsh! The fact the Tag-Title unification was left off also diminishes the reputation of the tag-team division as a whole. It's becoming much like how the cruiserweight title was used...
  15. What music blogs do you follow if any? I've never really looked at many except Pitchfork preferring to read about music in a magazine rather than on a computer screen but I'd like to see what the fuss is about....(partially as I'm still doing my dissertation but genuinly interested to what kind of influence they hold and whether they can eventually replaced the printed music press...
  16. I hear John Robb has a new book about the Manchester scene...in case anyone wanted to know. His last one "Punk Rock: An Oral History" has been on my to buy list for a long time... I also learnt that he invented the word Britpop Looking forward to seeing them live again, very much

I got the soundtrack to American Hardcore for the amazing price of 1 from a sale at university the other day. Not seen the film but you can't knock the music!
  18. Cheers for your help everyone. I think I'll get Avast! and AVG (although I hear the latter one is a nightmare to uninstall?)
  19. Sorry, didn't realise it was IMP doing it and unlike yourselves, you can't always rely on every promoter to advertise their gigs! Well done though, now I know we're in for a good night and not just one great headliner
  20. I'm not sure what to get. Any recommendations? A link just came up on my computer saying I have 103 infected Trojan files infected, I've a feeling that it may just have been a scam to get me to download a virus but realised since my McAfee trial expired I should actually get some protection. Please help!
