  9. Yes original Farah slacks, Ivan Lendl tennis shirts, flares from the 70s, line dancing boots - I like their till. Tis like the one from Open All Hours...
  10. Yep he used to be around Hazlehead quite a bit when I was @ HH academy (86-92). He was still speaking to himself then as well. What about Dod as an Adeen celeb - he is quite often seen playing bagpipes at random spots round the city, wearing tartan troos and always at punk and reggae gigs. I think he will always be a punk...
  11. Whats the best Merzbow album ? I've just taken a gamble and bought the Alec Empire / Merbow split live album from One Up so. I assume this shall be a little noisy..... Dave PS noticed when I standing at the 1UP counter that some immature kiddy had put some false sexist / offensive details on the Cafe Drummond petition - well done kid !
  12. Someone told me that the guy has MS or something similar ? Anyone know ? The guy who dresses like a character from Braveheart and has an animal skin over his shoulder Yep people are always taking photos of him. I think he looks really interesting, although he doesn't have make a noise in the library when he is walking around with all the stuff on his clothes....
  13. The guy wears a helmet and pull a sign about police brutality etc and wears an army jacket. I think his protest has changed a little nowadays ? The dirty/ well tanned tramp guy who buys cassettes in One Up and then breaks them up. The owner of that wee Italian bistro / cafe place beside Union Terrace Gardens who has "character". The lay preacher guy who sometimes preaches on St Nicholas Street at the weekend with his family looking on in a very sad embarrassed manner. He claims we are all going to hell unless we become a copy of him and his views.
  14. For the missing link between free jazz and punk try some of the Japanese bands such as Melt Banana, The Boredoms and Merzbow. Great to see the articles mention Beefheart and his free jazz meets blues smelting...
  15. Said band were on Peel's show last night...
