  1. There was a thing put out by Ross Robinson about five years ago to find the 'next big thing', just little snippets in magazines, I remember seeing it in K!. You just sent a demo to Ross in America and he went through them. Some band from England called Vex Red won, got signed to Virgin or something through Ross and had their album produced by him, if I recall correctly.

The problem was they were shit.

EDIT: But that Twin Zero sounds like it might be ace. Maybe.

  2. go on then please use this link to show exactly where anyone blames Marilyn Manson for his actions?

There, it doesn't. However on the Radio 1 report, it very clearly mentioned that 2 days AFTER the murder, he went out and bought some MM DVD, Golden Age of something? And that's what the edit is up there, I'd originally put 'And I bet Marilyn Manson will be blamed' and then they did so I changed it.

So nur nur na nur nur.

  3. Depends if you're going there to see a band or to go when it's a club.

Pretty darn good as a venue, although there's that pillar in the middle that's a bastard. The club nights I've been to were alright, downstairs was a bit 'old school' alternative and classics whereas upstairs was more 'pop'. Bigger dancefloor upstairs.

  4. I wouldn't have thought the record LABEL has fuck all to do with whether a band mimes or not, it's much more likely up to the management or even more likely, the TV programme themselves - they might not always have the facillities to do full live bands.

  5. Why not? I Why should people think they are so much better than him just because he has done pop music. i dont see Busted as a farse or a rock exploiting band at alll' date=' i see them as a very very pop punk band and they are a band, they write and perform their own songs on the albums, fair enough they may not perform live all the time, (they do do it ive heard them and they are quite good) but this is most likely down to the lable or even the show they are on (after speaking to rooster about this i found out a lot)..

At the end of the day Busted WERE a hard working honest band until they got signed thats what people seem to forget, so why now since they have made money and became sucessful should their memebers be embaressed of the fact they are in it??[/quote']

I've seen Busted perform live on TV shows a million times more than I've seen lostprophets play live. As actual musicians, you really can't fault Busted at ALL! I remember seeing them on TOTP just after Year 3000 came out and even though I loved that song, I expected them to mime like there was no tomorrow but alas, they performed accoustically and absolulity AMAZING! They really are talented bastards.....and they jump acely too...

  6. I must say I was REALLY pissed off at work when I first posted that and now I've had a bit more time to think about it and now that I've read the K! interview, I'm going to rephrase my comment - the music was still a pretty shite but there's not reason why people should hold Busted against him in the way that some people are in this thread, that's just snobbish. He admits that Busted were a bit of a cash in but then, was recording Nevermind a cash in? Was Green Day signing to a major a cash in...?

As far as I'm concerned, every piece of music should be judged seperatly, no matter who's made it or what they've done previously.

    And I like Busted.

  7. Van Helsing was complete baws. There's a film called Diamond Men that I got ex-rental from Blockbuster that sounded good but ended up being SO badly made and acted. I recently got some film called Six - The Mask Unleashed or something from Blockbuster online what was also COMPLETE pants. Oh, and how could anyone NOT mention Troy?!?!

I like Dude Wheres My Car, I like all the Jurrasic Parks, I like Deep Blue Sea and I like Under Seige. Hm.

  8. nah. them gigs months apart man. well' date=' two weeks anyway. and that's if we even play. i haven't heard back from mart yet.[/quote']

    Oooh, I dunno....Tuesday 28th of December to Monday 10th Jan....29th, 1, 30th, 2, 31st, 3, 1st, 4, 2nd, 5, 3rd, 6, 4th, 7, 5th, 8, 6th, 9, 7th, 10, 8th, 11, 9th, 12, 10th, 13....13 days, less than two weeks....!

GOD I can be a cock sometimes...

  9. There's probably something in the hand jestures. I only know what I've seen on the telly and most of the time the signs are actually quite obvious once explained, I've found. For instance, at the beginning, he's totally rubbing his hands together so he's anxious and he's holding his hands palms out to the camera, that's probably a sign of, I dunno, surrender? Honesty? So I think the start of it at least is quite sincere.

It's later on when there's the cuts and he talks about the media and changing the world and stuff, that seems a bit odd, quite self indulgent. Should have kept it short and sharp because he did make it about himself at the end, conflicting his very first words.

  10. oh' date=' also, when will people realise that 'random' and 'surreal' are entirely different things?

Also, random is not a catch all term for talking pish.[/quote']

and yet you still read it.

oh i get it' date=' this was so your mates could open up the thread and be all like 'lol' and you'd be all like 'panda' and they'd be like 'lol, sludge ur so rand0m' and you'd be like 'let's get stoned'.

    I should have realised.[/quote']
