  1. Indeed, we'll need all the help we can get We're getting a merch stall at the main festival too ...all we need now is some merch
  2. Woop!! This is amazing, cheers to everyone who voted for us, you're all legends. Bring on November!!!
  3. 300 votes each for us and Capturie (the two top bands) so we could REALLY do with any of you guys who haven't voted yet to help us out. There are only a few days left and we just need help to cross the finish line. Thanks very much to all of you who have already voted, we REALLY appreciate it
  4. ONLY 1 WEEK LEFT TO VOTE!!!! The closing date has been brought forward to Monday the 29th of May. We're only about 6 votes behind at the moment so every vote really does count.

    Gig

Sounds good man, let me put it to the rest of the band tonight at practice and we'll let you know Still not played the tunnels so should be a good one. I'll keep you posted!!
  6. Christ, this is a right slog. We've been in the top 3 right the way through, the other bands seem to have bursts of votes every so often but we seem to be plodding on continuously. There are still two weeks of voting to go so let's hope our steady progression continue
  7. Cheers!! Aye, we seem to have made a few new friends through this whole thing. A few people on the board talking about travelling crazy distances to come and see the gig if we get to play, one or two in England, one in Dublin but even more bizarrly, one in Germany and one Swede... bloody hell!!!!! o_O That is awesome!
  8. hehe, nah, I'd rather do it all above board. The people organising the gig must dig us as they gave us the second best score out of all the bands entered so even if we don't make it through here we'll still have made a good impression on the right people and there might be more gigs in it for us. Still, theres 2 weeks still to vote so here's hoping that we can turn it round, keep voting folks, we REALLY appreciate it
  9. ach well, looks like we're falling behind. It would appear that the band who have just pissed past us have been using a Myspace Bot to message pretty much everyone in the world asking them to vote.... load of pish but hey, it's not technically cheating. What's funny though is that the message from the band landed in our Myspace inbox too, cheeky bastards
  10. deesc, that Syth lot are a pretty good band like. I'll tell you though, I'm really impressed by Capturie. They're from Glasgow, you seen them before Spoonie? Kinda mellow in places but really good tunes. Pissflaps, they're beating us now
  11. come on dudes, its 3-3 now... we really need your help ps, cheers Spoonie!!
  12. Bugger, voting still hasn't started, should be any time soon though so keep an eye out. Thanks
  13. Thanks man, much appreciated!!
  14. Please please please please please please please please please please please please please please please please please please please please please please please please please please please please please please please please please please please please please please please please etc help us out. We've made it to the last 8 bands in Scotland for a chance to get a slot at this years Ragnarok Festival (Scotlands answer to Bloodstock) and we need votes. Click the banner for details!!!! We would appreciate it soooooo much if you could all help by voting. Now I have to apologise because you have to join the forum on the website to vote but we would be so very grateful if you could take the time to do it. Thanks so much!!! PS - If anyone could be assed spreading the good word on other forums etc then you would indeed be a hero. Cheers!!

    Wow...

What a coincidence, we're looking at offering a live version of our new song "Greed for Gain" with the possibility of a video/promo type accompaniment as a download asap. Keep your eyes on the forum and we'll let you know of any developments.
  16. I work for Aberdeen College, job title is technically "Lecturer" but I pretty much just do Guitar Tuition. It's awesome, I help get people through their technical exams and performance recitals. It has to be up there with one of the greatest jobs there is going. I also teach at Cpt Toms and a music school in Stonehaven called MusicZone.
  17. Ouch, the Behringer NR100 noise suppresor pedal is BALLS!!!!! I picked one up and it's absolutely, completely useless. It adds a minging great fuzz to your tone no matter what level you have it set to and it does bugger all to reduce any noise, also the decay sounds soooooooo artificial YUCK YUCK YUCK YUCK YUCK The Behringer compressor/sustainer is ace though, can't recommend it highly enough
  18. Try Tom's. Good enough quality Rotosound leads (if quite short) for 2 and packs of 6 decent (and funky coloured) Rotosound patch leads for about a fiver I think.
  19. Yeah, fucking hell, that is a fat guitar sound. The riffage and the drums sound great. As a few other people have mentioned, the vocals in places might need a wee tweak but overall it sounds great. Not a big fan of power-metal in general, I think its probably just the lyrics, but this sounds really good. PS - Boost the volume of the solo, it's pretty beastin
  20. Biomechanical are worth the drive alone... they are easily the most exciting "new" metal band I've heard in ages. Proper tech-thrash riffage with mental orchestral (very John Williams) accompaniment, if you haven't heard them then check out there myspace etc
