  1. Right guys i just listened to demos of the four horseman and the mechanix and couldn't come to a conclusion on which one was better.

    Which do you prefer

    Megadeth version or Metallica Version

I prefer the lyrics to Horsemen. But I like the speed of Mechanix. I'd still go for Horsemen overall.

And I have to say that Megadeth now hold more interest for me than Metallica... I never thought I'd see the day!

  2. It took a bit of getting into for me... I'm really really digging Kill Devil Hill, River of No Return, Power of the Sun and the title track. But Navigate the Seas of the Sun is a big waste of time for me which just seems to repeat itself forever and ever without actually reaching any interesting bit.

I don't think I like it as much as the last two Bruce albums, but it's still very enjoyable.

  3. yeah he helped write a few songs on No More Tears' date='Hellraiser is an awesome cool song.

gotta love the ozzy stuff [/quote']

Aye, there's actually a Motorhead version of Hellraiser too  I think it's on March or Die if I recall correctly.

I fecking love Ozzy, The Ultimate Sin is like THE most underrated album EVER!

  4. A street team would be sweet! We really need to get our gig at Moshulu on the 3rd of July well-promoted, it's important that there's a good turnout as it should hopefully be a hell of a night, so maybe we can get some of you involved there.

I have no idea what being in a street team involves though, info would be greatly appreciated, as would any ideas on how to get some good promotion. :) Thanks for the interest dudes.

  5. Yes, the website does appear to be down at the moment. But we will sort it out as soon as possible, and there will be some serious updatage soon, even if I have to do it myself.

Once my exam on Monday is over I intend to have a search through my massive archive of minidiscs and get some decent MP3s up there... Possibly including some of our set from the Me FM radio broadcast (there's a good version of 'Down' if I remember correctly) and if anyone knows about anything converting videos onto a computer that'd be cool as there's plenty of interesting live shit we have on video too.

  6. Well anybody else go to this?

I personally thought it was amazing to catch the ATL line up at the Barra's' date=' the set list was perfect with maybe only Keep It In The Family the only song missing.

I cant wait to catch them again at Download

Im not sure about the support band Man of the Hour thou, i thought they were a little bit too cheesey for me and the whipping out of the sword during the final number was the last nail in the coffin

What did anybody else at the gig think?[/quote']

Man of the Hour got the support slot for Anthrax?!!? Those lucky bastards...

  7. If you agreed a fee for a gig (a verbal agreement) with a venue' date=' played the gig and then discovered that you were not getting the fee that had been discussed for one reason or another, how would you react, and what steps would you take to rectify the situation?

I'd like to hear some venues views on this as well to even it out.

    :swearing:[/quote']

I'd tell Del and get him to go round and kill them :)

  8. EDIT: the bit between 0.00 and 9.19 in the watcher too' date=' forgot about that bit[/quote']

You mean all of it? ;)

Some of my favourite bits are: The bit in Chasing Ghosts right after the quiet middle bit with the heavy slow bit and the drumfill - dugga-da-dugga-da-dum-dum-diddle-smash

The triumphant middle riff of The Tie That Binds, right between the solos... the one that makes you want to rise up and slay the oppressors of your village. On horseback. In slow-motion.

Mac's second solo in the middle break in Age of Decay with the massive bend.

And yes, all of the Watcher. Just a fucking beast of a song from start to finish and I lurve playing it. I think my favourite bit of all is Rasses 'folky' sort of riff in the middle just before his solo (which is the second one). And actually Dan's solo (the last one) always makes me grin too :)

  9. Personally? I was happy when we finally dropped it a year or so ago. But when we brought it back into the set for the moshulu covers affair, I enjoyed playing it again, particularly because Mac figured out a bunch more ace guitar parts which really make it more interesting. Plus the heavy bit we added in the middle is cool, when it kicks into the groove it's the heaviest bit of the set. So at the moment I'm enjoying it, but I wouldn't expect to hear it at every gig...
