  1. Peter Davison and Colin Baker were pretty whack though. McCoy was alright. Pertwee is my personal top boy' date=' but Ecclestone has been fucking ace.

Del - I recommend 'Robots of Death' (Tom Baker).[/quote']

Jon Pertwee is my favourite too, followed by Tom Baker. Ecclestone has been good, I hope the next series (and Doctor) is as good :)

No Daleks in series 2 apparently. But cybermen, that'll be cool as long as they can make them a bit more scary than they used to be... I'd like to see the Sea-Devils make a return, they were rubbish, yet somehow ace ;)

  2. Just got my English ones back, and I got two 17s... I'm quite chuffed because one of those courses I had much worse marks from the coursework so I must have got a 19 in the exam (and I wrote about a poem I'd read for the first time the night before the exam). But I'd have liked an 18 for the other one, as I already had an 18 from the first half of the year so I'd have had a first overall if I'd only got one more mark. But still, an 18 and three 17s for the year, can't really complain :) Plus I have next year to try and get a first anyway.

  3. there's a reason people don't mention steve harris - it's because he isn't good. the only reason he keeps the pace he does - which isn't all that quick comparitively - is because all his gear is set up to max output so he can barley touch strings and still get sounds - bass techs accross the land will testify to this after blowing up their speakers by soundchecking his basses and playing in a normal fashion

Sorry, did a bull just shit somewhere round here?

The Phantom of the Opera bassline pwns ur m0m... He is my favourite bassist by a long way... no-one plays like him. Oh, tell you what, I'll just turn everything up and I'll be just like Steve Harris... oh no, you twat, it's about HOW YOU PLAY not how you set up your equipment...

  4. Actually' date=' you do lood like Devin Townsend but man, you suit you're hair the way it is. I say keep it [/quote']

Thanks. I do kinda worry about it because it's a real bugger that it's falling out so bad when I'm only 23 and I'm not sure what I'd do on stage without long hair... I'm going to keep it for now anyway. But if it gets much worse then a haircut will be the only acceptable option :(

  5. You mean where the Balaclava Bar is? Loch Street?

BTW re cash converters...did that mean you traced the people that nicked it? They keep a record of who brings stuff in don't they?

They do, but actually it was Bruce Millers who contacted us... it was very dodgy, the drum guy at the time contacted us, saying he knew someone who had "bought" the drum stuff. However we got the stuff back for free, seems like the guy who "bought" it was suddenly feeling very generous and didn't want any money for it... most suspicious, I believe he was one of the drum guys pupils or something...

  6. Charlotte Street isn't a 'nice area', it's a shithole... Erskine used to live on it and LEn's car got broken into and all his new drum stuff (including a Mike Portnoy signature snare) nicked. Fortunately we got it all back because I went around cash converters and the music shops with a list of the stuff which got taken and asked them to keep their eyes open. Sure enough, someone came in to get a Portnoy snare valued along with some other stuff, Bruce Millers phoned us and bingo, we got it all back...

  7. He was poop of the very highest of all orders, unlike the Maiden Scotland singer who has a fucking awesome vocal range. He blew Paul Di'anno out of the water... the stupid arrogant has-been prick...

Good job ye didnae waste yer cash Bob ;)

  8. was one of those gigs which reminds me why I love being in a band! It's been a while since I enjoyed meself as much as that at a gig. It was an odd crowd in that there were a lot of faces I didn't recognise, people who hadn't seen us before but they were all well up for a good time! Thanks to all you new dudes if you happen to read this, and particular thanks to those who bought cds :) We appreciate it. The on-stage sound was ace which always helps, and I thought we were a bit tighter than usual, which makes a lovely change :D I was a bit out of breath for the first song mainly due to me running all the way to the gig from work and going straight on stage, but I had a great time. The gig was also filmed with a few decent cameras so hopefully that footage will see the light of day at some point :)

Cheers again to those who were there, we had an ace time, and Karloff rocked harder than I've ever seen them before. High quality stuff! I missed the first band due to the whole work thing, but I heard really good things :)

And Erskine, sorry about the wedgie... the oppurtunity presented itself and I just had to take it
