  1. WOW!!! You're a cunt!! Congratulations. MMW are as emo as they come mate - face it... its emo. Calling it anything else is like Daphne & Celeste trying to fit in at Reading Festival' date=' and we all know how that went.

So, how about you fuck off and come back when you can admit to the fact that it is emo and emo is turds.

The only music to my ears at Maiden was the huge cheer when the took the Funeral for a Friend banner down. They really are the worse thing I have ever seen.[/quote']

Calm down. There's no need to be so holier-than-thou all the time. Just because you (or I for that matter) don't like emo it doesn't mean it's shit. If it brings joy and musical bliss to a certain group of people then good on them. Do you really think everyone should be the same? Because that seems a bit nazi-like to me. If I think that Power Metal sucks balls (which, as it happens, I do) then it doesn't make me any worse than you, and if you think it does, then you're even more deluded than this thread makes you seem...

...true metal?! What the fuck is that all about? That's the most elitist bunch of crap I've ever read. This is worse than those fucking anti-scenesters who think they're the coolest because they don't like anything.

  2. What was the set?

    Truth Divine

    Broken Alive

    The Watcher

    Empty Sky

    The Tie That Binds

    All We Are

    Age of Decay

    Fallen

The Trooper (with Del Double Jack on drums)

    Chasing Ghosts

    In approximately that order.

I'm away, so I'll post my thoughts on the gig and the sad demise of Drakes when I get home :)

  3. :( I'm deeply shocked and saddened... we have played at Drakes, Old and New, far more times than I can even begin to comprehend... we played the last gig at Old Drakes... then when it wasn't really the last gig we played there again ;) Many happy memories of dancing about like a fool climbing over all the fixtures, and never a word of complaint from the legendary staff... The mighty 13-man Immortal Wombat performance we put on a year or so ago too. Not to mention the amount of other ace bands which I've seen there over the years. :(

I'm just happy that we ahve the chance to play there one more time, Saturday night for us will be the end of an era. The city mourns an Institution and legend.
