question....are all records made of vinyl?
even picture discs or coloured and glittered?
!
Yes.
I love vinyl... metal just sounds better, richer, warmer... mmm, vinyl!

WOW!!! You're a cunt!! Congratulations. MMW are as emo as they come mate - face it... its emo. Calling it anything else is like Daphne & Celeste trying to fit in at Reading Festival' date=' and we all know how that went.
So, how about you fuck off and come back when you can admit to the fact that it is emo and emo is turds.
The only music to my ears at Maiden was the huge cheer when the took the Funeral for a Friend banner down. They really are the worse thing I have ever seen.[/quote']
Calm down. There's no need to be so holier-than-thou all the time. Just because you (or I for that matter) don't like emo it doesn't mean it's shit. If it brings joy and musical bliss to a certain group of people then good on them. Do you really think everyone should be the same? Because that seems a bit nazi-like to me. If I think that Power Metal sucks balls (which, as it happens, I do) then it doesn't make me any worse than you, and if you think it does, then you're even more deluded than this thread makes you seem...
...true metal?! What the fuck is that all about? That's the most elitist bunch of crap I've ever read. This is worse than those fucking anti-scenesters who think they're the coolest because they don't like anything.

Yes, MEGADETH
-
7 or 8 guitar solos per song is taking the piss.
Unless that song is Hangar 18
I'm with you on the Dragonforce issue though.
-
Cheers all, I had a great time tonight I thought we were pretty tight, although afterwards Dan thought he'd played really badly... Hell, I didn't notice
Crowd were ace tonight, thanks to all of you. A gig only feels good if the audience are into it, and in that way they are more important than the band
-
We'll be on at 9
-
Thanks for taking our tales of personal agony so seriously
-
Are we going to have to change our name to 'African-American Atom'?
-
Shit, you really were watching me!! Did you see me steal a bootleg T-shirt from the pirates outside and get chased for ages? I got away, it was ace
-
You're officially a cunt for meeting Dave Mustaine
Then I'm officially a cunt too
-
-
...not really...
...oh, go on then.
-
Erm... what other lyrics?
-
I beg to differ, the most concise review ever was actually in Spinal Tap, and ran thus:
"Shit Sandwich".
-
Actually at work they call me 'Old Man Joe' on account of me not liking new bands or youth-type things, or change in general, so I suppose you're not too far off. MAybe I should change my user name

Reminds me' date=' how is atomweb these days? up to date?[/color']
It won't be updated until we kill Rass and steal it from him
-
Oh most esteemed of colleagues, a Happy Birthday to thee from your metal brethren!
You rule
-
What was the set?
Truth Divine
Broken Alive
The Watcher
Empty Sky
The Tie That Binds
All We Are
Age of Decay
Fallen
The Trooper (with Del Double Jack on drums)
Chasing Ghosts
In approximately that order.
I'm away, so I'll post my thoughts on the gig and the sad demise of Drakes when I get home
-
It's just that the last 5 years have passed very quickly... far too quickly
Having said that, we had shit tunes 5 years ago and now they slay, so maybe it's better to be here after all
-
Happy Birthday yesterday even though I saw you!
BTW he's 23... and I'm next
-
Bizarrely enough' date=' it's the only venue I've never seen you lot play in, thankfully this will be rectified on Saturday.[/quote']
You can't have been trying very hard
-
and.... i guess it'll be Black Atom's last ever gig at Drakes!
*gasps in shock*
So I have just rather distressingly read... That is utterly rubbish news, we've had a lot of support from Drakes down the years and they will be sorely missed
-
I'm deeply shocked and saddened... we have played at Drakes, Old and New, far more times than I can even begin to comprehend... we played the last gig at Old Drakes... then when it wasn't really the last gig we played there again Many happy memories of dancing about like a fool climbing over all the fixtures, and never a word of complaint from the legendary staff... The mighty 13-man Immortal Wombat performance we put on a year or so ago too. Not to mention the amount of other ace bands which I've seen there over the years.
I'm just happy that we ahve the chance to play there one more time, Saturday night for us will be the end of an era. The city mourns an Institution and legend.

Nice that you've added a link to the fat-hippy purchasing our album page... but I didn't really believe it was a link because the cursor doesn't change... it was a test of blind faith!
