Yeh the Epiphone is nice, but I read it ain't a full size bass, looks kool anyhow. I think I'll place bets on a Squire but not an affinity series, or one of the Yamahas coz I know their good and trust them. I'll keep an eye out for a RBX 370 second hand, if not might get a brand new 270. Cheers everyone

I used to use Dean Markleys, then I bought Dean Markley Blue Steel strings. They are double the price but I got them for half, they were ment to last longer and not corrode - ironically they were just as bad.

I just came to the conclusion....the whole Maiden catalogue!

I'd consider a Squire P-Bass special, also Vintage & Westfield basses ain't bad. I've always liked the tanglewoods, they good? *remembers i can get a lot of discount from the school*

I used them on my pacifica once, they were not bad. One of them snapped if I remember. I only got them once to experiment, from my experience so far nothing beats a pack of Ernie Balls.

I'm thinking of getting a bass for christmas but have a budget of around 150. Any recommendations. I really like the yamaha RBX 370 but its over 200 but the entry level model is 150. Help apreciated

But seriously, if you think Kirk Hammet is better than Dave Murray or Hetfield better than Dickinson, you got another thing coming!

I still like the look but I would be concerned about the sound it produces, considering choice of pick-up, shape of body and material of body.
