  1. I reckon the Dons will beat us the morn. 2-1 with another goal from Stuart Duff. McGhee will put 2 players on Johnny Hayes, nullifying his threat and we'll concede one set piece and one break away. We will probably have someone sent off for a last man challenge on Bebo or Mackie. Brewdog pub at 6pm for a pre-match libation methinks.
  2. I was horrified... Only McEwans or Fosters for beer choice! Lucky i am partial to a Guinness or 6. I actually really enjoyed the gig and didn't think the sound was bad at all. A bit quiet at parts maybe, but passable none the less. Amber really suits a band. Minimal drumming and cello really fleshed out her songs. Couldn't hear the keyboard at all, but as Amber mentioned he didn't play as much as planned. Enjoyed Deportees again, demonstrating a professional, solid performance despite sound difficulties. Meursault were excellent. First time I've seen or heard them and was fairly blown away. Loved the acoustic songs the best and found the whole performance a joy to watch. Lots of friendly, familiar faces present. Apologies if I never managed to say hi
  3. I'm starting to think him and Bebo are the same person. Both are considered a 'talent' who 'other clubs are interested in', but they both are mostly in the headlines for being wee neds. I honestly don't see what the fuss is about them. They are far too inconsistent on the pitch and far too indisciplined off the pitch to be considered Scotland call-up material (like some papers and messageboards are starting to mention).
  4. Hmmph... Any chance the Music Hall can swap its beer selection with The Lemon Tree for that night?
  5. I was in for pints on friday and saturday. The Prototype Punk was lovely. Tasted a lot more floral/fruity than the original, which I really loved. I also splashed out on a bottle of Gumballhead, which now may be my favourite beer ever! Incredible. Gorgeous. Delicious. I've also started noticing the music is rather pleasing to the ears. Over that weekend I heard 2 or 3 songs by Death From Above 1979 and Rage Against the Machine. Boost! Yet to experience the cheese board, but I reckon I'll give that a whirl next Tuesday before the Dons v. ICT game. One thing I'd like to see is some savoury food i.e. decent crisps/nuts. Maybe similar to Ma Cameron's/Teuchters where they have wasabi peas and caramelised cashews
  6. Are they going to boycott home games as well, since it's Dundee FC's fault that they're in this mess in the first place! *again... What a petty bunch, I really hope their club fucks off and dies. Then they can boycott all the matches they like "15 points and you fucked it up!"
  7. Winter must be here. There's talk of minus 25 in Dundee today...
  8. Wonderful lunch at Chef Jang, take a point off the Huns at Ipox, Brewdog pub for a few tonight, then guestlist tickets for Snafu. Brilliant day!
  9. BBC Football updates: 1657: Rangers have lost their 100% record in the Scottish Premier League, while Inverness CT maintain their wonderful away record.
  10. So what is the link for buying tickets tomorrow morning?? I've already set up my lesson between 8.45am-9.45am, so that I can access and buy tickets online. That is if the school network hasn't gone into meltdown with female staff buying Take That tickets!
  11. They did that for the Jim Jeffries comedy gig last year and it worked really well. I'd fully support this decision.
  12. Something to do with this apparently...
  13. Scotland at Pittodrie? Yes please! Scotland to take on Faroe Islands in Pittodrie friendly | Football | STV Sport Bought my flights for Liechtenstein and Spain games next October, so this one will be much kinder to my wallet
  14. Excellent! Shame it isn't a weekend night... They blew me away in Brooklyn last week
  15. I had considered heading along to see you chaps when I get in, but I doubt my missus would be too chuffed with picking me up at 12ish instead of 10ish! Early night instead to keep fresh for a Drummonds Thistle win tomorrow.
  16. Delighted with a 2-1 win over Kilmarnock. That's 3 wins and a draw from 4 away games by my calculations! It's been a fair trek to get down here but well worth the journey
  17. I think of a Jim Jeffries (comedian) interview when I hear these kind of things. "Look, it's like when I went and saw AC/DC. It would have been a good concert if it weren't for all the scumbags, but that didn't mean that AC/DC didn't rock the fuck out of the place" The pub is great, the beer is really great. I will pay very little attention to any pretention that goes on in there.
  18. It's this guy I feel sorry for: Will he change his name again?
  19. It must be a cancellation of all teams' results v. Portsmouth I'm guessing... Christ knows what happens with relegation and promotion at the end of the season though ?(
  20. Surprised no-one has posted this yet. THE LEMON TREE : Idlewild Announce Intimate Gig Pre-Sale tickets are at Gigs in Scotland = type in Idlewild for the search engine and you'll find it. The exciting bit about all this is that it appears that it is a '100 Broken Windows show', where they will play the whole album
  21. I think the main problem is with the Aug-May matches. Our climate and roads suit a winter break much better. Plus, I'm fed up of opposition managers saying it is a disgrace that their club has to travel all the way up to Inverness on a cold, snowy day... completely ignoring the fact that ICT have to travel the same journey to the central belt and back every fortnight during winter!
  22. Where he will play full back
  23. They don't have a kitchen. But they sell cheese with meat and bread. Yum
  24. I was going to go along, but after an overnight flight from New York-Heathrow-Aberdeen without any sleep... I am going to settle on finishing some Samuel Adams and Brooklyn Brewery beers I took back. Reckon I'll head in later in the week for a spot of lunch (cheese/bread/meat boards) instead.
