  1. I spent the day in the Brooklyn Brewery yesterday getting smashed on their wide selection of beers on tap, before going to an amazing Johnny Foreigner gig across the road. That was aceic!
  2. 4th in the league, with the best goal difference outside the Old Firm; all whilst playing very poor and having an injury crisis all season... I'll take that! Going to Kilmarnock next Saturday. We tend to do well there, so 3 points could put us 3rd! Early days yet, but I'd bite your hand off for a scrape into the top 6 come April.
  3. Glorious failure maybe, but hampden celebrating that 2nd goal was fairly exciting! Equal if not more crazy than Caldwell v France, Ferguson v Italy or McFadden v France/Holland
  4. It was open today at 4pm, unfortunately I was on my way to hampden so couldn't check it out. Official opening night is next Tuesday, but I'm going to swing past tomorrow night on the chance it's open
  5. Don't tell Dumpdee that. That 3-2 win over us was soul-destroying, but it sparked an amazing 6 months of determination and commitment which led to a 26 odd game undefeated streak in one of the most competitive leagues in the UK. I'll gladly take a dramatic romp to the title over an Alba Challenge Cup and impending Administration. In other news, it's only 25 hours till the Supporters Bus leaves Aberdeen on the road to Hampden. I will do my best to forget about Friday's performance and just hope for the best. A packed Hampden has inspired some incredible performances, it's time for one more
  6. Team to face Czech Republic: McGregor, Hutton, Weir, McManus, Whittaker, Mackie, D.Fletcher, G. Caldwell, Naismith, Dorrans, Morrison
  7. Watch the youtube guide
  8. This post just shows how little football you actually see outside Sky/ESPN/streamed matches. You're demonstrating a very naive attitude, which I'm surprised to see you display. i.e. I don't know anything about this player, but I notice he plays for N.Ireland (ranked above Scotland btw!)... therefore he must be rank. Do a bit more revision on Johnny Tuffey then get back to me. That, or quit fishing. kthxbai
  9. Our sub keeper Johnny Tuffey (Northern Ireland no.2) is a better keeper than most of the ones you have mentioned. Tuffey call up for Italy & Faroes Whilst how many of that list will be travelling on International Duty this weekend...? McGregor. Maybe Pernis or Enckleman are still there or there abouts, I can't be bothered checking. Like I said; must try harder.
  10. Report card handed back. *Must try harder...
  11. BBC Sport - Football - Dundee Utd 0-4 Inverness CT = yet another clean sheet for Esson. Wonderful save at the death as well
  12. One of the best keepers in the SPL just now
  13. I will definitely be there. Can't wait to see how this looks/sounds live:
  14. Sorry for my lack of computer skills, but how do I get this onto my Xbox360?
  15. Just seen the BBC Alba reply of goals/red card, I can't believe Paton was sent off for that! Tokely's tackle was worse! In fairness though, no one should be allowed to tackle Johnny Hayes... so I reckon a red card is warranted. I'll watch the whole match tomorrow before deciding whether the 3 points were deserved. From what I heard on the radio we did well but relied on rotten Dons defence and woeful Dons finishing. Rooney also could've had a hat trick, with missing chance after chance. A welcome break for International football allows us to get some of our lengthy injury list back fit (Cox, Gillet, Inness, Proctor, McCann, Sanchez, Gil). With the next 2 games being home to St Johnstone and away to Killie also means a great chance to push up the table.
  16. Another away win to make up for our dismal home form Considering we have the Dons at home next Saturday, could tomorrow's game have plenty of red cards and injuries please!? We are in the middle of a defensive crisis with our first and 2nd choice full backs out injured.
  17. I for one am glad that it was rejected. There's nothing worse than booze fuelled kids and students being pricks during a film at the cinema. I take great pleasure in informing to STFU in my best 'teacher voice' should they act up. I've had to stop going to te cinema at the weekend, in order to enjoy a film without these inconsiderate twats ruining it.
  18. Just confirming that I definitely won't manage this friday due to going to Loopallu/trying to briefly attend the Drummonds Thistle fundraising Casino night at Tunnels* *Head along if you can by way! Lots of Abdn-music regulars will be in presence!
  19. 1-1 at Easter Road yesterday. I'll take that! Especially considering Hibs missed a pen and had an injury time goal ruled out for offside... Can't believe Elgin City won away to Annan btw.
  20. Yatai? That moved back to its original place near the Forum. They have a much less choice on their menu, which is a shame. I loved the menu when they were at Bauhaus.
  21. I actually knew about Stuart Duff signing for us on Monday, as he scored in a testimonial friendly at Rothes. I'm happy with the signing. He did well for us in centre midfield when on loan (undefeated in the 3 or 4 games he played), which is his preferred position. We also need a bit of cover at RB with Kevin McCann nursing a groin injury and Tokely moving into the centre. Duff can play there and in one of his last games for Aberdeen which I saw (v. Kilmarnock I think) he was excellent in that position. The main reason I've been quiet on the situation is due to the amount of Scotland viewing and organising this last week or so! Sorting out 14 folk for Spain tickets/travel and 10 folk for Liechtenstein tickets and travel, whilst attending Scotland Under 21 v. Austria Under 21 and watching the senior games on TV took up 95% of my spare time! I'm all set for my train trip to Easter Road tomorrow for ICT's game v. Hibs, which should get me back into club football again
  22. Oh buggery poo! I'm out for friday now. If there's reserves, give them a shout to replace me. I hear there's someone called Guy that's good
  23. Just home from the match, what a fantastic game!! Great end to end stuff, with Bannan, McGuire, Coutts, Arfield all looking very impressive. The Austrian players were complete w******'s all game. I think they got 7 yellow cards and could have easily been shown a few more, as well as a red. At the end of the match their number 7 shoved a steward as he tried to get to a fan in the crowd who was giving him the '2-1' signs as the players walked off. You could tell how much it meant to the players as well, as they were really fighting for each other. Brilliant goals. In such a great mood for tonight now
