  1. Exclusive starting line-up from Craig Levein: McGregor, Hutton, Weir, McManus, Wallace, McCulloch, Brown, D Fletcher, McFadden, Miller, Boyd.
  2. I don't like him for this reason. YouTube - Richard Keyes Screwup
  3. If it's the 10th September, and 5 instead of the crazy 10... then count me in.
  4. I've found it really hard to source. It seems that the only way to get it in Aberdeen is to order it online from Brewdog; and because of its popularity it is often 'out of stock'. I've only ever had it once, in Musa on their opening night. In other news, it looks like the Brewdog pub will be open in 3 weeks
  5. Jings crivvens!! Sounds like I missed out!!
  6. I can't offer enough praise for Johnny Hayes in terms of performance and attitude this year. He really is proving to be the best signing we have EVER MADE. After Dougie Imrie left us last January, Johnny has had a stormer in every single game he's played... resulting in all the SFL teams doubling up markers on him; which he still dealt with ease. Championship teams tried to sign him, since his 1 year deal was up in May... but he turned them all down to stick with Inverness since we were the first club to give him a proper start. He missed most of the pre-season, playing only 70mins against Clachnacuddin; before the opening game v. Celtic. But within 20 seconds he had skinned 5 of Celtic's midfield and defence on a straight run into the Celtic box. Unfortunately he tired quickly that day and fell out of the game. His attitude is also spot on, as shown after the 4-0 win v. Dundee United. Despite tearing their defence apart, he said he was unhappy with his performance... as his final ball could've been a bit better, allowing the strikers a better chance to score. In conclusion, he is the most talented and dangerous player we've ever had. Who has shown maturity and loyalty in signing a 2 year deal, turning down the lure of the Championship and better wages at other SPL clubs. If he continues playing this well, then I fully expect some bids England in December (prob from Middlesborough!). Considering they offered Dundee United 600k for Conway, who was a shadow of the player Hayes was on Sunday; i'd turn down anything less than 1 million).
  7. That would've been me probably, if you are talking about the last friday night game... As it turns out, recently I've been cut down one time too many at Sunday League; resulting in my big toe looking like it's broken. As a result I won't be at this kickaboot.
  8. Garry Kenneth's confidence must be completely gone... first Ibrahimovic tears him a new one, then Rooney (Adam, that is). BBC Sport - Highlights - Dundee Utd 0-4 Inverness CT I've caught some of this positivity bug that has swept Aberdeen... resulting in me buying train tickets to Edinburgh for our match v. Hibs in September. Never been to Easter Road, so it's another one to cross off the list.
  9. Home from my Sunday League match in time to hear 3 BRILLIANT goals v. The Active Nation Scottish Cup winners. Fantastic effort lads, lets take it into the next two matches v. Peterheid and Hamilton
  10. So you'd be happy to get a free Brewdog tattoo, but wouldn't drink their pish beer or be seen dead in their pub?? o_O
  11. There are quite a few pictures of me in Dons tops when I was wee, but alas I've never felt connected to them. I'm a one club man and they are ICT Jonny Hayes, Joooonnny Joooonnny Hayes
  12. Off to the pub with my Dons supporting old man to get pints and food in whilst watching the Caley v Celtic game through my fingers. Then off to Todders to see if Aberdeen have shaken off their pre-season 'form'
  13. Just noticed this thread a wee bit too late, as I was away in Stockholm this week. Put me down as a 1st reserve should anyone else pulls out, or if numbers go up to 8 a side
  14. Just back from Stockholm. Lovely, lovely city with wonderful people! Crippling hangover, not helped by having to be in airports and airplanes. I didn't think I could feel any worse, but upon reaching the UK I read on the Caley Thistle messageboard that Richie Foran is out for a month with a re-occuring knee injury. Gutted is not the word.
  15. ...and an Invernesian is now in temporary charge of Aston Villa!
  16. In the 8 games we've played against you, we've never played at ICT! Alas I won't make the long midweek trip due to it being a school night n'all that. Saving my midweek night of little sleep for the Scotland game in September 4 days till I head to Sweden 8-)
  17. I have fantastic memories of Ross Tokely and Chris Morgain squaring up to each other in the Sheffield United v. ICT pre-season game a few years ago. This is how I remember it:
  18. Didn't every season ticket holder get a free ticket for this game? If Liverpool were on the telly that night I'd imagine Scabbieheid would be half full
  19. According to the Sun, ESPN have taken on next week's game
  20. A good performance against Real Valya-doh-leed, where we had the better of the play in a 0-0 draw. We also managed to crock 4 of their players, oops! Amazingly Tokely wasn't one of the culprits... Heading along to Huntly tonight to see our youth team play. Is Christie park the one with the pub inside the ground? A lot of my visits to Highland League grounds blend into one! Royal Antwerp on saturday and then we're all set for Celtic on opening day!
  21. Scotland's match v. Sweden a week tomorrow hasn't even got a broadcaster yet! No doubt the BBC will pick it up though... It'll be BBC or ESPN that'll take on the game v. Lithuania. Both will be holding off though, to try and get it at a cheap price.
  22. You have to go through the worst moments, to fully appreciate the best ones Also, I did feel Esson was a poor signing when he joined, but I'm delighted to be proved wrong
  23. On that note, who would everyone else like to see relegated from the SPL? Or who would you expect to get relegated? The obvious answer is one of the Old Firm, but that would require SPL/SFA getting some balls and following through with points deductions instead of these 'last warnings' and fines that are given to the Old Firm for all their little ditties; which are heard at every ground their unwashed fans grace. On a more sensible note I reckon Kilmarnock and St Mirren could be in a bit of bother, as both have lost key players and replaced them with unknowns and Cowdenbeath players who are untried at SPL level. Both have new managers as well, who will have to hit the ground running. I imagine Inverness Caley will be mixing it in the bottom 6, but we really came onto a game last season going on a 22 game winning run, with 10 wins on the trot. Keeping Foran, Hayes and Rooney is fantastic as all are a much better standard than we should have at ICT. We've also got 2 of the best goalkeepers in the SPL, in Esson and Tuffey. Cox in centre midfield will also go onto a better club than us; he was magnificent in the game v. Queens Park at the weekend, with a brilliant box-to-box midfielder performance. Our only concern is having a veeeery slow defence; Innes, Munro and Tokely will mop up any arial threat and contribute well at set pieces, but they will struggle against pacy strikers.
