    Ibanez for sale

I might tell a guy at my work on Friday/Saturday as he is looking for something new/shreddy.
  2. It's XP Home...friend of mine suggested I format and install his Pro. I have Pro on my Desktop...it would seem like a good idea perhaps?
  3. Found the CMD. Apprently it won't delete data going to NTFS. I am missing UFAT.dll apprently...so I can't use that cmd promt...eeek. Would I just be able to get someone to send me it then put it in the right folder?
  4. So where do I type CONVERT C:/FS:NTFS? There is an option in the start menu to convert to NTFS put there by Toshiba. It doesn't run though as there is a missing DLL. I'll try typing that in when you tell me where. I am not sure wether the drive was formatted by XP or DOS...is there any way of finding out. Also Keilan do you know how to restore XP to its "original state" Cheers for the help though Mr Knight!
  5. Hi I was wondering if anyone could spare some advice on formatting my hard disk. I recently aquired a laptop <1GHz 512mb RAM but only 15Gb hard disk> Currently it is using FAT32 but I would like to change to NTFS. Primarily because I have a 300Gb external HDD which is already in NTFS and so is my desk top computer. I presume that your external HDD would probably be better sharing the same file system/perhaps it has to? I am sure Pro Tools prefers NTFS as well... Anyhoo down to buisness...how do I go about changing the file system? I right-clicked the drive icon in "My Computer", went to format then clicked the option NTFS from the drop down menu. It then says I will loose all data. This is where I decided to ask for some help. I don't have a windows XP disk so I really don't want to format the OS as well. I wouldn't mind getting windows back to the orignal unmolested state however, as I still have some crap I can't seem to get rid of from the previous owner...is there any way to do this without the CD? Any advice would be appriciated. Cheers!
  6. Well the first tip I would give (if you are going to be recording audio...not so sure if it applies to Midi) is getting a system with two hard drives. One for audio only and one for your system files...like windows etc. If you can't get two internal drives then a popular choice would be a firewire/usb 2.0 external HDD. I just purchased a 300Gb Maxtor for 150 to use with Pro Tools. Pro Tools seems to be excellent and you don't have to worry about choosing from LOADS of interfaces, as there are only really a handfull. Soundcontrol.co.uk currently have the MBox <soon to be replaced with MBox 2 I think> <b>REALLY</b> cheap! I managed to pick mines up second hand for 100. However no midi interface on the MBox itself...you'd would have to get a serpate one. I'd like to see what people have to say about Midi Keyboards and interfaces as I wouldn't mind getting into a bit of that myself...I've been looking at a Midi to USB interface which is tempting. I am TOTALLY running out of USB ports now.
  7. It was doing fine today untill it randomly timed out...I took it as a sign and went home.
  8. Are you still interested in the Graph Tec stuff?
  9. Personally studio as I am not a fan of signature guitars. I hate that my PRS says Santana on it. Have you looked at the Double Cut Les Pauls? They are also might cheap for a Gibson.
  10. 2nd Year BSc Engineering Design @ RGU. Not only did I sell myself short and go to Engineering School instead of Grays I also took a BSc instead of MEng/BEng <so I could still go to Grays for a bit>...this may turn out to be a bad choice. It certainly is boring as fuck 90% of the time!
  11. Boss TU-2...you get to stand on it...and it has pretty lights...I was sold. 60 though.
  12. I have some Graph Tec string saddles for a telecaster bridge. I didn't use them on my Warmoth Project as they don't fit my Gotoh bridge. If your interested I can check the exact sizes and get you a price. They are still in the packaging untouched.
  13. Apprently sometimes they did! When I heard about it the first thing someone suggested was "don't they just do bounce downs" and apprently a lot of the time they didn't....I just have so much respect for the sounds they got back then without all the technology.
  14. You know the dual carridgeway beside kincorth <it runs passed north sound studios>? If you drive from altens/cove side towards town you get a GREAT view as you come over the crest. You can see down to the river Dee and Duthie Park etc etc...then the rest of Aberdeen behind that.

  16. My Zen only plays in mono unless you hold the jack in a certain position. So either broken or dirty contacts. Opened it up but the jack wasn't really easy to get at without taking out some major bits and pieces. Solution...bought an i-river.
  17. There is a Protools DVD out now. Its on the news section at digidesign.com though getting protools + hardware could be expensive...
  18. Hetfield circa black album...lots of guitars, lots of cabs and a tent...EPIC!
  19. I only found about intonation after a live recording session when I was 15/16. Its a v. easy thing to do once you have done it a few times.
